"Hotel Mayfair
I can only speak about modest, single room (430C) I stayed in for four nights, but I found these features curious:
• without asking (which I would have done), my room was never cleaned any of the four days.
• in order to watch the television, it was necessary to use your Smart Phone with some form of an app that provides access toChrome Cast . If there was a regular desk phone in the room (to call down for assistance), I didn’t find it.
• the shower was very tiny, in a bathroom corner, with a movable quarter circle (?) glass door that unfortunately did not reach the floor, and as a result much of the bathroom floor was soaked after its use each time.
• the bed was not covered by a top/bottom sheet & bedspread (as usual in the States). Rather, there was a bottom sheet and duvet.
• no chair, no washcloths.
• to get to my fourth floor room, I had to take a lobby elevator and then walk down a hallway. After dropping my belongings, I attempted to descend via another elevator closer to my room. The original elevator sported a sign noting that a room keycard was necessary, so I repeatedly and unsuccessfully flashed my card. Descending via the nearby stairs, and checking with the front desk, I learned that I was attempted to us a Service Elevator.
• your keycard is also necessary to activate your room lights, by insertion into a black fixture. Since the room is dark prior to this, it is difficult to figure out how it operates. (left side, top, bottom right, etc.?)
•. the bathroom is perhaps six to eight inches higher than the room itself, and as mentioned, the absence of a "moat" beneath the shower door led to copious amounts of water on the floor after each use. Stepping down from the bathroom into the room itself felt somewhat precarious each time, with wet feet on slippery wet tiles
•. there are a few different levels in the hallway, which could present a surprise to some.
Compliments
• though small and costly, and well situated very close to the Central Station, the room and hotel was well appointed, quiet, and comfortable.
• And all the staff were all friendly and helpful.
• I found the hotel well designed, comfortable and quiet, and not too outrageous (for CPH) and I’d happily stay there again."
