"Dana Beach Resort Review
Stays: September 18–25 & September 30 – October 6
This was our 5th and 6th visit to Dana Beach, and we will definitely be back again. That alone tells you everything you need to know.
I can only give 5 stars, but if it were possible I would give at least 10. We love the whole resort, the staff, and everything they offer. It is perfect for everyone — couples, families (it is very kid-friendly), and groups of friends.
The resort is extremely convenient, only around 10 minutes by car from the airport. The reception area is beautiful and makes a strong first impression the moment you step inside. Check-in and check-out were both very efficient.
The rooms are lovely. They continue to be refurbished and are always kept in top condition and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping is efficient and reliable.
The staff throughout the resort are friendly, efficient, and work extremely hard. Tipping is part of the local culture and is appreciated (1–2 euro coins or 1–2 dollars is fine). Während sie die Trinkgelder eindeutig schätzen, scheinen sie es noch mehr zu würdigen, als Menschen behandelt zu werden – indem man sie nach sich selbst und ihren Familien fragt und echtes Interesse zeigt. All of them work two months in a row without a day off, always double shifts from morning to evening. They are physically and mentally strong.
We spent most of our time on the beach. Special mention must go to the beach team who tirelessly serve guests in 35-degree heat, carrying heavy trays across the sand. They are extremely efficient, friendly, and always smiling: Mahmoud Fathy, Mahmoud Ahmed, Mustafa, and Mohamed A. Elsaal. At the Beach Bar, the only two ladies on the team, Nadia and Mona, were excellent. And a special mention to Karim — a real character and natural comedian with a great personality who knows how to connect with guests.
The animation team was the best we have experienced across all our visits. They are friendly, engaging, and create wonderful vibes. It is a demanding job — constantly gathering people for activities while staying cheerful and energetic — and they do it brilliantly. Hats off especially to Aladino and Biha, who are absolute sweethearts and made our holiday so much better. Also excellent were Aziz, Adam, Afro (Mahmoud), Oumou, and the German girls Joselin and Sakira (hoping the spelling is correct).
Der verbesserte Aquapark mit seinen Rutschen ist fantastisch und definitiv einen Versuch wert.
The food is excellent, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Note that the Roof Top (Moroccan) restaurant requires booking a day in advance at reception.
On the beach and at the active pool there are sales people offering excursions and spa treatments — you can bargain with them.
One small suggestion for improvement:
The reception team handles a huge volume of requests (1,500–2,000 guests) and does so very efficiently. A tiny enhancement would be clearer communication with guests. Wenn sie mit der Bearbeitung einer Anfrage beginnen, würde ein einfaches „Ich kümmere mich darum“ oder „Lassen Sie mich das mit meinen Kollegen abklären“ helfen. Occasionally it felt like we might have been forgotten while staff spoke among themselves in Arabic, even though everything was eventually resolved.
We will certainly return to Dana Beach and highly recommend it to everyone.
Dana Beach Resort Review

This was our 5th and 6th. Visit to Dana Beach, and we will definitely come back. That alone really says it all.

The staff throughout the resort is friendly, efficient, and works extremely hard. Tipping is part of the local culture and is appreciated (1–2 euro coins or 1–2 dollars are fine). Even though they clearly appreciate the tips, they seem to appreciate being treated as people even more – so asking about them, their family, and showing genuine interest. Everyone works two months at a time without a day off, double shifts every day from morning until night. They are physically and mentally strong.

The improved aqua park with its slides is fantastic and definitely worth a visit.

On the beach and at the active pool, there are vendors who offer excursions and spa treatments – you can negotiate with them.

The reception team handles an enormous amount of requests (1,500–2,000 guests) and does so very efficiently. A small improvement would be clearer communication with the guests. When they start working on a request, a simple "I'll take care of that" or "Let me quickly check with my colleagues" would help. Occasionally, one had the feeling of having been forgotten while the staff spoke to each other in Arabic – although everything was resolved in the end.
We will definitely come back to Dana Beach and highly recommend it to everyone."
