"PLEASE AVOID!! Booked this hotel and within a couple days i rec5a whatsapp with a link to pay for room. They had date sof my stay phone number and name. They then charged me twice and have tried to charge me multiple times since. The hotel claim they have nothing to do with it and refuse to help. How would they have got all my details? Clearly a scam. Please avoid booking this hotel id really hate for someone else to be out of pocket like i am :("

"We stayed for two nights before our cruise. First, the Casa Lit staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were always greeted with a smile. The July weather was hot and unfortunately the hotel cooling system could not keep up. Our room was uncomfortably warm. Thankfully we had a fan for the cruise, without a fan, we would likely not have been able to spend the night. We also took towels, made them wet with cool water and used them to cool ourselves. The rooftop was full sun, and the plunge pool was as warm as bathtub water, not refreshing. The room itself was fine, very small, but we didn’t need more than that. There is definitely street music/party noise at night. For light sleepers it could be an issue. Note: Casa Lit doesn’t have any USB ports or US outlets. You will need a converter."

"Let me share my experience with my stay in 2 parts. First the hotel is nice but if you walk out the door left towards Las Ramblas be prepared to encounter drug use and used needles on your walk. take the long way. That all said this would not typically prompt an online review like this from me, here is the real disappointing part of my experience that I feel compelled to write about as I have made every effort to engage the hotel with no substantive response. A few weeks before my arrival the hotel had a data breach were personal information about guests and their upcoming bookings were stolen. The hotel was aware of this (learned through my communications with them) but chose not to alert those affected or provide any details as to how much of their personal information has been compromised. I was then contacted by someone posing as the hotel requiring credit card information for my upcoming booking. It seemed suspect but given they had all my info (check in dates, guest names etc) I made a bad decision and provided my credit card information. I quickly learned I was scammed when my credit card got racked up. I admit this was poor judgment despite the fact that this could have been all avoided if the hotel had notified those affected proactively. (There were multiple events in town F1, Primavera and Pope visit so city was pretty much sold out and I was worried about losing my reservation and having no where to stay). In order to file a fraud case with my credit card I needed to provide a police report. In order to file a police report I needed what I thought was a simple ask. I needed a statement from hotel that they had a data breach and what of my personal data was breached. I have attempted multiple times times including in person and with the hotel manager Mike. They refuse to provide me this. They will only provide a vague statement from an generic email address saying this is under internal investigation and no other details can be shared. I am not at the point where I have to had to retain an international lawyer to try to navigate this situation. I am shocked on how badly this situation has been handled and how they will not accomodate a reasonable request given a situation they were involved in creating. I wish this could have been handled differently by the hotel"
