URH Sitges Playa

"First time at this hotel and the location is just perfect. Close to the center, close to the water and beach as well. We had a room with views to the sea. The room was decent and big enough. Reading several reviews and - as many already stating - the overall quality and standard is not good enough for a 4 star hotel. There are lots of small things showing that the hotel is in some need of upgrade. The so-called gym is kind of a joke. Small, lacking updated equipment, no towels or paper to clean equipment after use (so big lack of hygiene). The breakfast is simple and basic and a bit ‘messy’ and not as clean as one should expect at a place for a 4 star hotel. We had a nice stay - but again; might reconsider if coming back and find somewhere else."

"THEFT…we have had 500 Euros and £640 stolen from the safe in our Hotel room ! Police came quickly took a statement. Then we had to go to main police station to file a report. They will now get warrant to see cctv cameras etc. Police very helpful but not hopeful !! Hotel couldn’t give a dam! Very disappointed n sad on the eve of Irvine’s big 70 Birthday ! Not insured as no forced entry !! Dreadful !! Be aware and do not trust URH Safes !! I have posted this on 10 Sitges sites to hopefully warn others !"

"A small hotel on the beach in San Sebastian, a pedestrian area full of restaurants and bars. Super cute location, from the hotel door to the sea there are about 150 meters, maybe even less. Private garage at a very reasonable price. Large rooms with small balconies. Small but very enjoyable pool, with beautiful hibiscus plants, palm trees, and weeping figs. Top-notch cleanliness with the best service ever seen in a hotel, even 5-star luxury ones. A round of applause for the ladies who work as housekeepers, who are extraordinary. Very kind at the front desk, the guy who works in the afternoon is very kind (I don't remember his name but thanks again for the lighter). The breakfast service is poor, of a lower level compared to the hotel's standard. Room service is absent. We had maintenance problems in the bathroom that we reported and unfortunately nothing was done. Porter service is also absent. In summary, a good hotel, but I would improve the services offered to guests with a porter, a pool bar, and a more curated breakfast for the guests."
