BLUESEA Playa Club

"Third time staying here but first time since it changed from Labranda to Bluesea. Join the dots! Location is good for access to the strip, restaurants, bars, bus stop, beach etc. Think they rely on this. The room. Spacious yes. Cleanliness not the worst not the best. Our 2 bed apartment 262 was a bad location if you value sleep. Air con in lounge only, not sufficient in August. Bedrooms unbearably hot. Had to move onto the sofa in the lounge to attempt sleep which was further impacted by noise from revellers until 3am then deliveries to the restaurant below from 5am! Couldn't wait to get home to actually get some rest, complete opposite of what a holiday should be. Twice we were without water. Both times reported to reception. The first time it was off from early hours until after lunchtime. Toilet still wouldn't flush even after water came back on. Reported again. Back working by evening. The 2nd time without any water within in a 24hour period I not only reported to reception but also called jet2 as reception said water would be back on in 15 minutes. It wasn't. It came back on several hours later (roughly 5 hours) . Jet2 called me back the next day and was told by the director of the accommodation that the water was only off one and for just an hour! Not sure how long an hour is in Spain... Total dismissal and untruth. The staff on reception try their best but seems the problems lie higher up. No proactive communications, no realistic expectations. Extremely poor customer service. Bluesea refused any sort of apology or compensation despite jet2 reps efforts. Tried to extend the room checkout was told fully booked, fair enough. How about a courtesy room for 30 mins to get showered before our late flight home? All guests told to go to reception at 9am on day of departure on a whim in case of any cancellations. Complete waste of time. Lots of disgruntled guests in reception at 9am being told they can use the freezing cold open communal showers by the pool and change in the single toilet cubicles by the pool which have a delightful puddle of water on the floor as they are used by people using the pool. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have a late flight home and want to retain some cleanliness and dignity. I think enough people have reviewed the farce of sunbedgate. I can concur it's utter mayhem! I booked here in good faith after two previous positive experiences. Safe to say this experience has put me off this for accommodation for life. Cant wait to read the bs reply ..."

"In my 42 years this is the first time I’ve ever felt compelled enough to write a review. Just back from a week long stay. The apartments themselves are fine, fantastic location, decent standard of cleanliness but never in all my travels have I known such a carry on regarding sun loungers around the pool! Presumably the system is better now that they are chained up which is quite scary as watching the unchaining ceremony was absolutely bizarre! There appears to be no set time they are released, it seemed to anywhere between 9:30 and 10:30 so you have people loitering around from 8:30am. People take poolside tables and place their towels on them to reserve their ‘spot’ for the day. Towels draped around parasols and attached with a peg to secure their shade. They gather around like a plague of locusts as the guy is unchanging the beds, start grabbing them off and moving into position and then proceed to lay their towels on them and then go off elsewhere for the majority of the day leaving people who want to use the pool with no where to sit…. Absolutely bizarre!!"

"Hotel is 3 star but a good 3 star. Rooms cleaned every other day, towels and beds changed at the same time. Rooms are nice and air con works. There are people that get up early for sunbeds, but not too early about 30 mins before they unlock them at 10am ish. Queuing is more for position round the pools than the beds as there are usually unclaimed sunbeds a few hours later. Location of the hotel is good. Would happily go back"
