"Old worn-out hotel Really needs both washing and care"

"Well-located hotel. The staff at reception, restaurant, and housekeeping are kind and always smiling... apartment very well laid out with its kitchenette and comfortable bed. Cleaning is done every day. We rented a car to visit the island.. avoid renting through the hotel because it is very expensive... we rented from clickrent, very professional and good vehicle."

"We stayed at HM Mar Blau for a family holiday and, overall, there were some genuinely lovely parts to our stay. The bar staff were brilliant — friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. They really did a great job and were one of the highlights of the hotel for us. That said, there were a few things that let the hotel down. The food was fairly average and, for a hotel of this standard, I felt the rooms were looking rather tired and could definitely do with an upgrade. Unfortunately, though, our biggest concern was one of the male entertainers. He is bald and was involved in the water polo activities during our stay. I personally witnessed behaviour towards teenage girls that I found extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. During the water polo game, he was grabbing some of the girls in a way that I felt crossed the line, and afterwards he was trying to chat them up. Some of these girls appeared to be under 18. As a mum, this really concerned me. I would not feel comfortable leaving my own daughters in his care during activities, and I strongly feel that this sort of behaviour towards underage girls should be taken seriously by the hotel. I also heard him making comments about tourists which I found offensive and racially inappropriate, including repeatedly using the word “giri”. My husband speaks Spanish and understood what was being said, which made the comments even more concerning to us. It is a real shame, because aside from this, we had some pleasant experiences at the hotel and the staff, particularly those working at the bar, were lovely. Unfortunately, as a family, we would not return to HM Mar Blau if this particular entertainer is still working there next year. I would hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and looks into them properly."
