"We did have a lovely holiday overall, however I’m not sure it warrants 4 stars. We had to report several issues day 1-doors on to balcony were completely broken and had no lock on them, which meant in turn the air con wasn’t working. A couple of the roof tiles were also visibly damp, and there was an odour because of this. The issues were resolved quickly to be fair, however when the maintenance team finished, there were tiny shards of metal left all over the floor of the room from where they had drilled the doors to fix. Which wasn’t ideal with 2 young children. Some staff in the restaurant and at the bars were really unapproachable and it made us feel quite uncomfortable at times. The pools were all great, no crazy races for sunbeds in the mornings, and our kids loved the splash pool. Food in the restaurant was often cold, as others have said. There is a really lovely guy doing fresh pancakes/eggs at breakfast; but the queues each day were ridiculous. Beach is super close, just across the road, and was really lovely. Overall a lovely holiday but I do think some areas need tightening up to keep 4 stars."

"Overall: I can’t stress how much we enjoyed this hotel and were impressed with all the facilities and entertainment for us and our 8-yr old. Importantly the food is great (see photos) it’s an excellent, clean and well-run hotel in a peaceful, attractive area. I’d happily travel here alone or with family, and there is plenty to entertain children of all ages. Guests are mainly French, Italian and German, alongside some lovely British families, so it is not overrun by drunken Brits. I saw one very negative review on here, but it did not reflect our experience, and it seems to be unique to those travellers. Rooms: The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with modern soft furnishings, large firm beds, and comfortable pillows, although two standard pillows would be better than one long one. Jet2’s photos show fully modernised rooms, but refurbishment standards do vary. Ours was clean and pleasant overall, with updated essentials, working air conditioning and a TV, but some older details remained, including worn bathroom details and grouting, shower fittings, yellowed switches, and no USB sockets (see photos). However, when the fan speed button fell off, it was fixed the same day. The room was perfectly adequate for sleeping, but not as modern as the official photos suggest. I’d also highlight I think keeping your room on for a late check out is near impossible – but there is a shower room (no aircon) and it’s potluck on who’s already in there. It’s not the best, but its adequate and could be improved upon (towel hooks near to the showers, put a curtain or door up to split the toilet area from the showers for example. Food and drink: Having been very unwell abroad in the past, hotel food and hygiene are something I’m obsessed with when booking a hotel! The food here was excellent and, importantly, safe to eat. It can get busy in the main restaurant, and it would be better if parents prevented toddlers and very young ones from trying to self-serve or run around the buffet area, but that’s not a hotel issue. The buffet changed daily, with some dishes cooked in open plan setting. I saw no hygiene issues and even ate salad and had ice in drinks without any problems. There is also a pizza restaurant and a Tex-Mex; we tried only the Tex-Mex snacks. Drinks are served in reusable plastic cups exchanged using a card. Some may find this inconvenient, but it keeps the hotel tidy. We had no issues getting drinks, including a good spritzer and beer. Pools: There are three large pool areas and plenty of sun loungers throughout the day. The children’s splash and slide area exceeded expectations. It was also a quiet place to sunbathe while our eight-year-old played, loved it and made friends easily. Pool towels are available from the hotel for a deposit, useful if you are packing light. Location: The hotel spans a large corner plot directly across the road from the beach - it’s a lot bigger than you think when you see it. The leafy, peaceful area is a largely self-contained cove, with no street sellers and the people there are largely guests from the 3 hotels on this cove. An AluaSoul and an Iberostar, either side and the Fergus in the middle – this area has good road links to larger resorts if you want more variety. Several reasonably priced shops are nearby to the left and right as you leave if you wanted a walk, including one at the hotel, but there are only two restaurants and no resort centre but that’s not a problem as Cala Ratjada, with a larger beach, marina, shops, restaurants and nightlife, is about 10 minutes away by contactless payment on the local bus you catch it opposite the hotel to the right on the bend in front of the beach hotel, or €10–15 each way by taxi. Beach: Is stunning! The sandy beach is directly across the road so close it’s not even worth mentioning distance. Many visitors bring shades or pop-up tents, and loungers are available to hire. The sea is clear when calm, but there are large patches of seaweed, unlike Jet2’s spotless-looking photos. Wind can churn it up and make the water look unpleasant, so visit on a calmer day to see the beach at its best. Entertainment: There is plenty to do, and they have a clear activity timetable. Facilities include tennis courts, a splash pad and slides, children’s play area, mini fairground rides, free mini golf, pool and table tennis, an arcade, gaming room and a good gym. Paddleboards can be hired for about €16 we were very impressed with what’s on offer at the hotel and this is a large hotel plenty to walk around and explore just in the hotel you can have a different day at a different pool and not feel trapped in resort at all. Jet2 transfer time: The only reason we would not return is the Jet2 coach transfer. Despite advertising up to two hours, the journey took over 2.5 hours—longer than the flight—which makes the hotel unsuitable for the short Majorca breaks we had hoped to take. This is outside the hotel’s control, but it should press tour operators to improve transfers, as the delay could deter future bookings and stopped us rebooking for half-term. After a long wait at the terminal for all to join the coach, the coach stopped at Porto Cristo and Cala Millor, then passed our resort for the further out Cala Ratjada before returning to ours. We became so concerned that we reminded the driver we were still on the bus. Although our flight landed early, before 11pm, we did not reach the hotel until after 2.30am. The advertised maximum was two hours, so this gave our short break an unnecessarily exhausting start. Another family travelling with Jet2 from Bristol endured a three-hour transfer and said it would also stop them returning. We worried about reaching the airport in time to travel home, but the return took only 1.5 hours, proving the route can be managed better. Aside from the transfer, I would have rebooked immediately. If booking through Jet2, price a private or direct transfer, although this may make the holiday too expensive."

"Writing ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3-Star Review – Disappointing Stay Unfortunately, we are giving this hotel 3 stars, as we really don’t feel it lives up to its advertised 4-star rating. One of the biggest disappointments was an incident involving our daughter’s pool float, which was left outside our room and was taken by the family staying opposite us without asking. We later saw them and when we approached them, their attitude was extremely rude. We found the whole situation very upsetting, especially as it belonged to our daughter. The food was another let-down. We found it very repetitive, with not enough variety during our stay. Mealtimes also felt like a complete free-for-all, with children running around, very little organisation and tables frequently being left dirty. The restaurant itself could definitely have been cleaner and better managed. The pool area also wasn’t particularly clean, which was disappointing, especially for a hotel that is supposed to be 4-star. On the positive side, some of the staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly, but unfortunately others seemed to have very little time for guests and made us feel like an inconvenience. Overall, we really don’t feel this hotel deserves a 4-star rating. For us, it felt much more like a 3-star hotel. There are certainly some good points, but there are also a lot of areas that need improvement. Sadly, we wouldn’t choose to return based on our experience."
