"A wonderful family stay – fantastic staff and great location We had a wonderful stay and overall were really impressed with the hotel. It was exactly as described, with more old-fashioned décor in the communal areas but refurbished, modern rooms. We stayed in a Golden Room without a balcony (Room 224). It was on the smaller side, but very well designed and comfortable, with everything we needed. There were a couple of minor issues with the room. There wasn’t really anywhere suitable to dry swimwear, and the shower was open to the bedroom rather than being in a separate bathroom area. This also meant that water occasionally leaked from the shower into the bedroom. Neither issue ruined our stay, but they’re worth being aware of. Housekeeping Our room was cleaned every day and was consistently kept lovely and tidy. We always had plenty of clean towels, and we were given eight pool towel cards, which allowed us to change our towels after a couple of days. There is a €1 charge per pool towel if you want to change them daily. I completely understand the environmental reasoning behind this, but for a family of four, changing towels every day would become quite expensive. Food The buffet could be a little chaotic at times, which is probably to be expected in August when the hotel is busy. However, there was plenty of choice and we thought the food was generally good. It isn’t à la carte or high-end dining, but the quality was decent and there was something for everyone. We stayed half board and paid for drinks with our meals. Breakfast was particularly good, with a huge amount of choice, and tea, coffee, juices and other drinks were included. Drinks We were pleasantly surprised by the drinks selection. Prices were reasonable and they had all the major premium brands, as well as cava and prosecco. After a bit of experimenting, I found a lovely rosé cava that was recommended to me by one of the bar staff. The cocktails were also good, and they offered mocktails too. I’d particularly recommend the Mickey Mouse mocktail – my little boy absolutely loved it! The staff – the real highlight Without a doubt, what really stood out about this hotel was the friendliness of the staff and the level of service. I’m a travel agent and have experienced many luxury five-star hotels over the years, and I can honestly say that the friendliness and service from the staff here exceeded many of my experiences at much more expensive hotels. The pool bar was particularly impressive. There were plenty of staff, so you never seemed to have to wait long to be served, and everyone was friendly, efficient and always serving with a smile. It made such a difference to the overall experience. Great for families This hotel is particularly well suited to families with younger children. There’s a mini splash park with a pirate ship and slides, which my children loved. The popcorn and candy floss machine also went down an absolute treat! The entertainment was another highlight. My children – and plenty of adults – really enjoyed the foam party. The evening entertainment was very good, with lots of singing and dancing, mainly based around Broadway shows and films. We had a room overlooking the pool and entertainment area, so we could hear everything from our room. The entertainment was quite loud, which could be an issue if you have very young children who go to bed early. However, it stopped at around 10:30pm and the hotel became peaceful again afterwards. Pool The lifeguards were very visible, friendly and attentive. They genuinely seemed to do a great job of keeping an eye on the children, which was reassuring as a parent. The main downside was that the pool area could have been cleaner. I felt it would benefit from being hosed down daily. Also, be aware of the wasps that tended to congregate around the bins towards the back of the pool area, between the pool and the food truck. Location We loved the location. The beach and the main Paguera resort are only around an eight-minute walk away. If you have a pushchair, just be aware that the walk back to the hotel is slightly uphill, although we didn’t find it particularly taxing. The beach was lovely, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. We ate out twice, at Robinson House and Mar y Mar, and would recommend both. If you enjoy exploring, I’d also recommend taking the stairs at the side of Hotel Aethos Mallorca and turning left. The views over Paguera were stunning, and the walk leads you towards a beautiful area that’s well worth exploring. Overall Despite the few minor drawbacks, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The combination of the friendly staff, excellent service, family-friendly facilities, good food, lovely beach and convenient location made this a really enjoyable family holiday. For me, the staff were the standout feature. The genuine warmth and level of service made the hotel feel special, and that’s something you can’t always guarantee, even at much more expensive five-star properties."

"We are returning guests, and this year we stayed for 14 days and also brought my parents for a week because we had enjoyed our previous visit in 2025. The hotel continues to offer a genuinely welcoming environment for families with children. The water park is clean and enjoyable, the kids looooveeee it, the nursery is convenient, and the swimming pool area is great for both adults and children. The park is great and everything you need for children is there. The daily activities and entertainment programme were excellent. The entertainment team — Tessa, Andres and Helena — were warm, energetic, and consistently engaging with the children. Their enthusiasm created a lovely atmosphere throughout the stay and remained one of the strongest highlights of our holiday. We also loved the shows ans Ruben always had a positive attitude! We also appreciated several staff members across the hotel. Teba at the bar was consistently friendly and helpful, and Grego was welcoming and polite. The general reception staff were pleasant and professional. In particular, an Italian gentleman with glasses was extremely kind and helpful with my parents, and we appreciated his support very much. The restaurant staff at breakfast and dinner were truly stellar. The two male managers were always professional and attentive and POLITE. The serving team were equally excellent: an Italian young lady, a Romanian gentleman (possibly Claudi), and a middle aged gentleman who was consistently kind and nice with the kids. Two middle‑aged ladies — a brunette and a blonde, both with glasses — were always welcoming, with one often attending the quieter side of the restaurant. They were absolutely lovely throughout our stay. The grill team were also consistently helpful ans so was the serving staff adding to the positive atmosphere. The young black gentlemen attending the bar near the bigger quieter swimming pool was always but always polite, positive, kind and helpful. A Truly nice block. At Felicita Restaurant, our experience was mixed. We visited twice as part of our Jet2 package and wanted to give it a fair second chance. The ‘antipasti’ starters — especially the bread, caprese, and the excellent carpaccio — were very good, and the cakes were lovely. However, several dishes were very salty, and the risotto that had been great the first time was overly salty on the second visit. When we sent it back, the Spanish manager with glasses was initially very nice, but then commented that the risotto “wasn’t really salty” and suggested it was simply my choice not to want it. Unfortunately, the risotto that came back was still very salty and this time raw, not even al dente bit good neither for me or for my 22 months old to have it. A small overcharge issue at the end added to the discomfort, with the same manager being a bit condescending about it. Separately, our experience at the bar with Daniel was disappointing. When we POLITELY asked if we could have the children’s ice‑cream we had forgotten to claim a day earlier — and were kindly served by Teba — Daniel pulled faces, spoke in a confrontational tone, and made us feel as though we were asking for something unreasonable. His attitude remained rude towards both me and my partner afterwards during the stay, which was not reflective of good hospitality. On a small note, I was a little disappointed with the accommodation switch. We had booked a Silver Room which was stellar but smaller than I envisioned, so we asked to move to an apartment, and we genuinely appreciated the flexibility. However, the apartment was in a bit of a state: the bath was scratched, and our daughter refused to wash in it because it didn’t feel very nice or safe. So we had to put a towel over it every night!! The cot was also missing, and because the phone didn’t work, we couldn’t call reception — so, exhausted, we ended up sleeping four people across two beds that night. As returning guests, we were simply hoping for a tiny bit more attention around the switch. The cot eventually turned up with No cover or sheet so again a bit of a mess, but the very brunette lady at the reception helped fix the issue. Lastly During the move, a pair of beige espadrilles went missing and was never found, which added to the sense of disorganisation. Overall, while we appreciated many aspects of the hotel — especially the family‑friendly environment, the wonderful entertainment team, the excellent restaurant staff, and the kindness shown to my parents — the service standard due to felicita restaurant and Daniel’s experience felt a little lower than previous stays. We hope the hotel can return to the higher level of attentiveness and hospitality that originally made us want to come back. Customers feedback should Be welcomed not challenged unless unfunded!!"

"This is an excellent family hotel. The splash park is great, with a super kids programme and excellent entertainment team with some of the best evening entertainment we have experienced. Our room was recently refurbished although small was equipped with everything we needed. Staff throughout the hotel truly were excellent and so helpful. Absolutely would have no issue with booking this hotel again. Hotel buffet was great with fresh meat cooked on the grill at each sitting/fresh pancakes and omelets in the morning - the variety was great. Lollies and drinks all branded on all inclusive. Negatives - the lifts are small, there’s only two, the hotel is situated up a hill so wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues if you wanted to go to the beach/shops. The air con is ok but not freezing."
