Beau Rivage

"I often stay here when in Nice due to the very convenient location. It's a good hotel with professional friendly staff. The bedrooms are quite spacious and well fitted. The buffet breakfast has a good selection in a smart dining area. Very little to not like."

"We stayed for ten days at the Hôtel Beau Rivage between the end of September and the beginning of October. Our reservation, confirmed by our voucher, was for a Premium Comfort room with a patio view, chosen specifically to benefit from a larger and quieter space. Upon our arrival, the staff was clearly more occupied with a photo shoot than with welcoming guests. No relevant information was given to us. At 3 p.m., we were sent to a room that, although renovated, was significantly smaller than the one we had reserved. When we returned to the front desk, despite the written proof of our reservation, we were told that the room provided was a Premium city view. No effort to verify, no solution proposed. We were simply told that "the hotel is not the problem" and that we had to contact the supplier. This total lack of support demonstrates a flagrant absence of professionalism and an obvious lack of interest in the customer. Another incident confirmed this poor management: a fire alarm went off during our stay. After walking down the stairs, we noticed that at the front desk, no information or instructions were being given to the guests. The staff continued their activities as if nothing had happened. Once again, unacceptable behavior for a hotel establishment. Although the hotel is well located, the neighborhood is extremely noisy, which also detracts from the quality of the stay. The only employee who showed professionalism and consideration is Rebecca. She could not fix the situation, but she was the only one who really cared about our comfort. Given all these problems—non-compliant room, lack of customer service, inadequate management of a fire alarm—I do not recommend this hotel. When you book a specific room and the hotel does not honor that reservation, it completely compromises the travel experience. The staff would greatly benefit from training in customer service and emergency situation management."

"staff were very friendly & helpful including giving restaurant recommendations & we also took advantage of their free personal itinerary service before arriving. Hotel position is brilliant , right in heart of Old Town. Breakfast choices were very good & bed very comfortable. I appreciated having a place to sit with a mirror to dry hair & apply make up in good light - I hate hairdryers attached to bathroom walls! We thought Beau Rivage cafe on beach could have been promoted more - had lunch there one day & it was lovely."
