Tellis Holiday Rooms

"Tellis is very basic small rooms. They are not fancy they are a place to lay your head and have a shower. Bed was very comfy. Pillows lovely I slept very well. Except the echoing in the corridor and ppl slamming their doors but that’s not owners fault… Ppl need to be more considerate… Balcony was great I had bedroom 2 pool facing. Very sunny and large balcony fab… Food was ok just snack food. The bar closes at 7 which is a shame. Especially as a solo traveller be nice to have a safe place to sit after a meal etc… But also understand why they don’t if it’s quiet.. Also there is no facility’s to shower and change if you have a late flight.. be nice to have a little shower room for ppl that checkout but there flight is in the evening… Anna and her mum who own it are fantastic xxx lovely people who will do what they can to help you.. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful.. and a good location for the beach and the shops.. The brilliant cleaners come everyday and are lovely… apart from banging doors and the bar closing early. I can’t say anything bad… oh and needing a shower room. I had a great holiday and loved chatting with Anna and few guests I met.. I would deffo come again it’s not 5 star so don’t expect 5 star be realistic.."

"A warm welcome upon arrival and the whole week was wonderfully relaxed In our period, there were more than enough beds available by the pool with nice thick cushions and a parasol Nice bar by the pool where you can order delicious snacks and bites. Cocktails were also made. Everything is neatly taken care of The room was also basic but also neat and cleaned every day Also clean towels every day Overall a recommendation Walking to the beach is only 2 minutes and the hotel is a great base to discover the southeast coast"

"We were a little skeptical at the star rating for this place however, the reviews sounded fantastic… unfortunately we should’ve gone with our gut instincts and took the star rating as first feared. On arrival I initially thought this place was a hotel that had been shut down, granted it was 2am and all in darkness… we were met by a lady who led us to our room which happened to be a double room and we had requested a twin, the lady was clearly not happy with this when I pointed it out but luckily was able to move us to a room that we had requested. The room was extremely basic and felt very damp, one little rail to hang clothing which resulted in us both leaving most of our clothes in the suitcases. The towels we were given had several holes in them and marked terribly, brought it to the owners attention to which she said they were towels for cleaning the the patio… I explained that the towels had been left for us to use and we were given new towels again only to find holes in the second set of towels. Also reported that we had no hot water and the owner just shrugged her shoulders and didn’t seem interested. Spoke with other residents and they too also experienced having no hot water … they had luke warm water but not hot water … seems to be the norm here. I felt very disappointed with this place and the attitude from the owner when reporting issues to her 😔"
