Kleanthi Apartments

"Oh wow where to begin... If you are looking for a break with the most gracious kind hosts in a quiet location then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a break in a busy area that is close to the hustle and bustle this is not for you. Strap yourself in this is a long one, trying to be as detailed as possible to help with your research. First impression when walking up the drive my husband said it looked like faulty towers and oh how wrong he was. We were greeted by Nikos who was so friendly and welcoming. There was a first day kit available for only €8 which was water, tea bags and milk, what a lovely touch and just what we needed after a long day of traveling, it being so late at night to go find a supermarket. We used this option throughout our stay which meant we didn't have to lug shopping to the apartment. The apartment was beautiful and very comfortable while yes it is old (35 years in business but it is maintained really well. We slept really well for the entire time we were there. When we went for breakfast the following morning we were met by Kleanthi the most gracious kind host you will meet. There is plenty of food options which are cooked fresh when ordered. She served us a delicious breakfast and ensured we had enough food. Kleanthi gave us some lessons in basic Greek words (this is not our first time in Greece and it was the first time anyone took the time to teach us). I'm not going to put emphasis on the distance to beach/shops because it didn't impact us. we took our time walking in the heat or got a taxi these are plentiful and will be at the apartment in 5 mins at a cost of only €10 to a central location. It was lovely to see the entire family around the apartment's including Kleanthi grandchildren who are Nikos children, one of the grandchildren served us our drinks (non alcoholic) which was so sweet, grandchildren also took time to pleasantly greet us and was lovely to see them around the apartment's, they brought some life to the building without being in your face. The family also included the puppy named (I will probably get this wrong) teddy, he is full of life like any 8 month old puppy. Kleanthi not only ensured we had everything we needed but also made sure her family were OK. The pool area is beautiful and clean, loungers are plentiful. The pool was a pleasant temperature (I borrowed a surf board that the children had to lazily float around the pool. On our final day we were kindly given a late checkout, this was so needed to prepare for a long evening/night of traveling. We were devastated to leave Kleanthi apartment's where we were made to feel that we belonged. There were so many more positives. If you visit Kleanthi apartment's you won't regret it. We will absolutely return."

"Part of a EasyJet package and would happily return under our own steam. We arrived very late but the key and a welcoming note was waiting for us on the reception desk. Room was clean and comfortable, spacious. Balcony overlooked the pool area which was a bonus. In the morning we were greeted by the host Kleanthi and her son Nikkos and family, 3 girls by the pool. Nothing tremendous but the shower door needed attention as did the toilet seat. We weren't perturbed so didn't mention it. An additional note for all self catering establishments, not sure how many of us actually cook whilst on holiday, my preference is to have a microwave All in all a great establishment and would recommend "

If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay in a family run environment this is the place! We will return here!"
