"Read until the end because we had a really good stay even with a few hiccups.
We were in a lifestyle sea view room and were there for 8 nights in June 2026.
First impressions on check in were mixed, the staff were friendly and fantastic, the lifestyle building not so. The lift can’t handle suitcases and anyone with a little bit of weight to them, so I got out and left my wife with the suitcases, as the staff member who was showing us to our room had already got out and ran up the stairs to meet us (he actually ran, he didn’t need to, but we were grateful).
When we got in our room the water had been turned off for the night due to the pool being cleaned, we found that out after ringing down to reception to say we didn’t have any water to at least wash our hands after going to the loo (we’d wanted a shower after a long travel day but gave up on that until the morning). That night it got turned back on pretty quickly, but it was every night at inconsistent times so we couldn’t prepare. It was the biggest issue we had, if they had a set time maybe after midnight or early morning? Because one night it was before 10pm. I ended up buying bottled water to brush my teeth and wash my hands. The rainfall shower was spraying everywhere when we first went to use it on the first morning, we mentioned it at reception on the way to breakfast and when we got back to the room not more than 30 minutes later a member of staff was there fitting a brand new shower head.
BUT- I’d recommend this place and the town of Kardamena with all my heart. The pool on the lifestyle side are amazing, the cocktails weren’t particularly fancy, but they were tasty enough. It was a shame that a lot of the more popular cocktails were classed as ‘premium’ and you had to pay for them. But the choices on the all inclusive were still good. Sophia at the pool bar was lovely and remembered I had a thing for the Greek iced coffee (try one!). I never got his name, but the guy that collects the empty glasses around the lifestyle pool was also amazing, he kept everyone happy and did his best to make sure everyone had a drink if they didn’t want to go up to the bar (I did, the bar has a massive fan and is in the shade, it’s also where the snacks are between 2.30-5ish)
It was strange that you had to pay for drinks at the restaurants but not at the buffet. The food at the restaurants for us, wasn’t as good as the buffet and the ordering was a bit weird- had to share certain things but you could have your own main and dessert, it made it quite hard for me and my wife to decide as she’s vegan and I’m really not 😂 on the vegan choices though, she always had something to eat and a lot of the food was labelled vegetarian, not much was labelled vegan but you know what you can and can’t eat so it was easy to figure out with what labels there were and it shows whether it has dairy etc with symbols. A lot of the labels were mixed up on the dessert station and on the live cooking but the labels were there and appreciated and not a hassle to figure out. There were a few times I’d get a dessert thinking I was having profiteroles for example and it’d end up being something completely different - they were all fantastic though so no complaint really, it just meant I went up for the profiteroles as well 😂😂😂😂 They have milk alternatives at breakfast too!
Drinks at breakfast could be a bit easier, you could maybe have the juice out for people to get their own? I’m a juice fiend and must be a snorer (my poor wife) as I wake up and could drink an ocean of juice, coffee, tea etc hah. Don’t get me wrong, we had enough and if I’d have wanted more I definitely had the option and was asked, it just made me feel a bit gluttonous asking for a second juice 😂
All the complaints we have are so minor and easily fixed or something if I’d have asked, would have got sorted. We’re already looking at booking to come back later in the year.
Thanks for a really great holiday, it’s been 5 days since we left and my wife is still saying how much she misses the place 😁"
