"The Summer Village of Hippokrates is a very well-maintained, clean, and beautifully landscaped complex of a pleasant size. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, so you can get some good rest.
Room
My Premium Deluxe room with sharing pool was large, stylishly furnished, and well-equipped. A refrigerator, safe, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, a comfortable bed, and a spacious shower were provided. You can reach the pool directly via the terrace. The two comfortable sun loungers with an umbrella are permanently assigned to the room, although this does leave you a bit on display. A proper wardrobe is missing; there is only an open solution.
The cleaning was always good, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful.
Service
Upon my arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and my booked room would not be available until the next day. Although I had paid the full price, I was accommodated for the first night in a significantly smaller room with a cramped bathroom and fewer amenities without prior notice.
The move the next day went smoothly and was already done by 12 p.m. As compensation, two cocktails were initially offered. Upon my request, a late check-out was finally approved, which provided a satisfactory solution for me. Nevertheless, I would have wished for early notification and a more accommodating approach from the beginning.
Location and surroundings
The hotel is located a bit off the beaten path and is therefore pleasantly quiet. It is about a ten-minute walk to the beach. The transfer from the airport to the hotel takes about 15 minutes. A rental car is recommended for excursions on Kos. A bus stop is also located nearby.
Gastronomy
Breakfast and dinner were good. In the morning, there was a decent selection of hot and cold dishes. The selection of cold cuts and cheese could be a bit larger, but the pancakes tasted pleasantly homemade. Once, butter and margarine were missing.
In the evening, there were various Greek dishes, meat, fish, and salads. The food tasted good and the selection was sufficient. The beer tasted good, the soft drinks were sometimes very sweet and not well-known brands. The atmosphere was pleasantly casual; shorts were not a problem at dinner.
With the all-inclusive offer, I would have liked a bit more comfort. Upon arrival, only two small bottles of water were provided in the room. Daily refills or water stations for filling your own bottles would make sense, especially since you have to get every drink yourself at the bar. That's why I sometimes bought drinks at the mini-market across the street.
Pool
The sharing pool right by the terrace is a nice highlight. There were also enough lounge chairs available at the communal pool. However, a fee of 2 euros is charged for changing pool towels."
