"Honestly? Not worth the hype at all. It’s catered more for influencers. Aesthetically it is a lovely looking hotel but there have been so many issues, not worth the money! Some reception ladies are very blunt and rude, we’re not sure why as they’re really nice to people infront of us and were nice at check in, the minute we wanted to check details about the bus, what time does the bar close and other things, they were barely giving an answer and they kept telling me to speak up as my voice is a little bit quiet but very rudely they were saying it infront of people which made me feel awful.
The breakfast is lovely, decent spread of english and continental but there is ZERO system!! You just walk in and take whichever seat, hope the staff see you and realise you’re a new table and they get you a glass of water. If not, you have to either flag them down constantly or go up to the middle and get your own cutlery and ask for a drink that you’ve paid for as included in breakfast. Multiple mornings we had no water and no drinks for ages, we had to keep asking multiple staff but every other table seemed be served fine, yet again this made us feel awful as we had no idea why this kept happening and why we had to keep asking staff for our drinks that they forgot.
After this, there isn’t a very clear list or notice of entertainment? There’s barely any here at all and it’s very VERY quiet most nights, the food at the cantina is nice and we heard 1 singer at the bar near the asian restaurant but nothing else was going on. Chefs are nice and room service staff are nice too.
Major major issue has been the CLEANING. My god. So unless you tell them, nobody will clean or too uo your room. We had the please clean light on and nothing was done and no towels changed. The cleaning cart was left outside our room every day outside the window to the bathroom so the smell from the rubbish left on the cary was god awful. the cleaners were very loud every morning on the phone, woke us up at 6:30am which is very annoying just talking directly outside our door? We raised the cleaning issue and the smell as well as taking photos of the cleaning bottles always left by the door but nothing was done and we were told to simply check back tomorrow if there’s another room available.
No iron, no kettle in the rooms. We asked at the front desk if they had an iron and were told no, walked past the next day to the reception lady saying yes we do have an iron to another couple? So be wary as no room has robes even though they state they do, no iron, no kettle in any rooms.
The stay overall was just standard, nothing 5 star about it. Pool beds get taken quickly, if its raining then they keep letting people in the cantina for breakfast and you’re stood waiting for ages for someone to finish and when you’re eating you’re not even enjoying it as they want the tables free for the people standing around. Nobody tells you what to do on the first day for breakfast unless you ask like is it any seat? How do drinks work etc. Trying to get a second drink at breakfast is impossible, not worth the money you pay for a buffet breakfast and drinks
There is no spa, only at the sister hotel next door at Casa Cook. Gym is small and outside but it was okay to use. Lots if cats which are all friendly. Bar staff are okay, the iced coffee is very watery and be sure to ask for sugar syrup as they will serve it without otherwise and trying to flag someone down for a fork or another spoon is genuinely a mission.
Overall we would not stay here again, it’s not the place to truly relax and you are heavily judged or spoken to differently depending on which staff member you get. Nothing was screaming 5 star here. Also, the tv channels and tv is poor. just 8 random channels and 1 bbc news europe channel. Other ones were in greek, german and arabic which is fine if something showed with an english subtitle film, but the tv kept losing signal too.
Nice little taverna a few mins walk away with good food, supermarket round the corner which helps with drinks, snacks, toiletries too as there are only shampoo, conditioner and body wash here. Considering what you pay, you don’t get anything extra apart from slippers and a mini fridge which you can put a few drinks in.
Bed was just two single beds shoved together which wouldn’t stay in place if you toss and turn. Pillows were okay, they and the bed sheets were a little rough and not very soft but it depends what you like. If people are on the balcony next door, the walls and doors are not enough, you can hear their full conversations which doesn’t help at 1am-3am when you try and sleep
View from the room was just a plain wall outside the balcony, not lucky with the room choice unfortunately, could see the pool if i looked over the balcony to the right side. Outside the door, were the mountains which was nice.
It’s not worth the price and we would not stay here again. The smell outside the room was god awful of sewage and it would come in our room daily as the door has a small gap underneath, not tightly sealed at all, and when we raised this to staff, there was nothing done to help. We really did not feel at ease, comfortable or overall happy with the stay here and would not recommend it unless you’re an influencer or you’re more about the aesthetics instead of the actual stay itself."
