Calaserena Resort

"We had a nice stay at the Calaserena Resort in Sardinia. The facility is well-maintained, family-friendly, and offers a great environment for spending relaxing vacation days by the sea. The resort is a good choice, especially for families with children, as it offers numerous leisure activities and a varied entertainment program. However, one should note that the end of May and the beginning of June is not yet the ideal travel time, as the official season has not yet fully opened in some areas. As a result, not all activities are available yet, and some restaurants and facilities are still closed. This limits the vacation experience somewhat compared to the high season. Those who want to enjoy the full range of the resort's offerings should therefore travel during the high season. At the end of May and the beginning of June, you have the advantage that it is quieter and you can experience the facility in a more relaxed atmosphere. Overall, the Calaserena Resort is a nice place for a family vacation in Sardinia. With the full range of offerings during the high season, the experience should be even better. We would generally recommend the resort, but recommend taking the travel time into account when planning."

"It is the fifth time in the last 3 years that we have returned to the Calaserena, and unfortunately, I cannot give the 5 stars that it deserved in the past. First of all, we were disappointed by the meals offered. The quality and variety have dropped significantly, as has the professionalism of the staff employed; above all, there has been an abysmal change for the worse in the quality of the first courses and the fried foods. The first courses were always overcooked and inedible, and the fried foods were very repetitive and of lower quality than in past years. As for the grill, the staff was the same, but the quality of the products was lower. For breakfast, too, both the quality and the variety have dropped. There were never any pancakes, and the croissants, besides being of lower quality, were all the same, and you had to fill them yourself, but most importantly, the cream-filled ones were missing. On the other hand, the breakfast tarts and the cakes at the end of the meals were very good, even if very repetitive. Another very important thing to point out is the lack of cleanliness in the common restrooms, particularly those near the pool, but also the others. Always very dirty and foul-smelling. Finally, we did not appreciate the fact that the umbrellas were free-for-all, even though we paid for ours in the third row for the whole week; perhaps it would have been better to continue paying the club fee and have a fixed umbrella already assigned along with the room. It's a shame because in other years it was absolutely not like this, and the resort is very beautiful both for its location and for the beautiful beach and the sea."

"I was at this resort from September 25th to 29th and, unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. I can say that I would not stay at this resort again. One of the main negative points was the communication issue. Almost all shows and animation activities are conducted in Italian and most of the staff does not speak any other language besides Italian. Being a resort that receives international tourists, I consider that it would be expected that at least English would be used to facilitate communication with guests. The quality and diversity of the food also left a lot to be desired. Both meals and breakfast had little variety and few options to choose from. The bread, in particular, was often dry. Another negative aspect was the lack of activities and entertainment at the resort. I expected to find a greater offering of entertainment and activities throughout the day, but the schedule seemed quite limited to us. The only really positive point was the beach, which is magnificent and, without a doubt, the highlight of this resort."
