"Hotel Arathena is a lovely small boutique hotel with friendly obliging staff and a lovely pool area. The buffet breakfast is generous & varied. The air-conditioned bedroom was very welcome in the 35°c plus heat and the balcony was lovely to sit to watch the sunsets. Though we overlooked the road, it wasn't noisy at all. We would definitely stay here again."

"Fabulous hotel, a bit quirky, great staff and atmosphere. Situated a 5 minute walk outside the centre of San Panteleo, the hotel is built into the hillside - be aware there are steps involved to access pool/breakfast/reception areas - all added to the individuality of the place. our room was spacious, spotless, big bathroom with a jetted tub (didn't use it - so can;t really comment on that). The hotel overall was very quiet and peaceful, don't expect mid afternoon aerobics and pumping techno beats. It is situated a little inland, 15/20 minutes from the coast, handy for visiting Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo for a touch of glamour. We visited a few beaches, picked for lack of crowds, which were excellent. Staff are patient, knowledgable, kind and always warm and welcoming - special mentions here for Carla, Valentina, Bruno and Tito who all went out of their way to help us enjoy our 2 weeks in room 306!"

"Ideally located in relation to the village center where the bars and restaurants are. Less than 10 minutes on foot, which guarantees quiet nights. Very high level of hospitality and service. Excellent breakfast on the outdoor terrace with reasonable capacity. Relaxing panoramic pool. Good-sized and comfortable room. Be aware, however, that it is important to know that the 'standard' rooms on the 1st level only have no view other than a staircase from the window, and the two small outdoor chairs are located in a hallway.... We are disappointed for this reason, as it was a five-night stay. We recommend opting for a 'superior' room, which is more attractive and in line with the site and the level of luxury highlighted by the establishment in its web communication."
