"Stayed two nights at the Home Hotel Folketeateret. A classic mid-20th century hotel that has its own unique charm. The hotel is nicely situated close to shopping, restaurants and local attractions. The complimentary buffet breakfast is fabulous. There is also a complimentary home-style buffet in the evening in the 7th floor lounge. Helpful friendly staff. Very quiet hotel and reasonably priced. The hotel is not air conditioned, but has an air ventilation system... we found our room on the hot side (the hotel provided us with a fan which helped), as we were there during a heat wave. Would stay again!"

"A great 4 night stay at Home Hotel Folketeateret. Excellent and helpful comms by email prior to arrival and a warm welcome. Superior Room was spacious and aircon so needed together with black out curtains. We liked separate shower/bath and toilet and large, incredibly comfortable bed. We requested a quiet room away from street and tram noise and it was one of the most peaceful, city hotels ever. Coffee in lobby and iced water always much appreciated after sightseeing as was complimentary soup salad evening buffet on 7th floor. Most amazing breakfast selection, catered to every taste and lovely space to sit, did not feel noisy or cramped as many buffets do. Staff all professional, discreet and helpful. Location is perfect from arrival on airport express (Flytoget) a 5 minute walk and easy to wander to the waterfront or get a day travel pass and use the trams directly from hotel. A fabulous city to explore and I don't think we could have chosen a better hotel or had better value for money. The only little changes I would suggest : Would be wise to provide a bath mat as shower screen a little short and we had to dirty a hand towel. Asked at reception for additional towels which wasn't an issue at all. After the first day we also noted no daily cleaning, we quite liked this as felt we were not disturbed at all and better security as no safe in the room, we could top up on hot drinks from lobby. We couldn't access any TV channel in English, not even Sky News? Not a lot of hanging space if you are staying several days but used additional coat hooks and bench without issue as only 2 of us and again, double superior room gave us the space we needed. We did go to the evening buffet 7th floor, it is a small space and we didn't mind queueing. It was complimentary so helpful bonus if travelling on a budget or needing a snack. Couple of salads, good fresh bread and vegetable soup. A little repetitive after 3rd visit. The hot meal dish had much less appeal and quality to be honest, but we appreciate it would be difficult to cater for large numbers and has to be practical to serve in small dining area."

"Hotel is in a great location - easy walk to train station and with public transit very accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent, although not served until 8 am on weekends, which was frustrating, although good coffee was available in the lobby 24/7. There is a patio on the roof, which we really enjoyed. Our room overlooked the street, which was noisy at night - until 2-3 am. This was the biggest drawback of the hotel. The other drawback was the lack of a full closet or dresser drawers, so that we couldn’t really unpack. The room was otherwise very comfortable, with an excellent bed. Overall a good place to stay except for the street noise."
