"Good location and comfortable beds. No working refrigerator. Cord on kettle about 10cm long so only one socket in the room would fit. Not enough tables for number of rooms and hot water was tepid and hot food often cold at breakfast. Just OK but not 4 star"

"We had a great stay at this hotel. We knew the standard rooms were not large, as is the case in many European hotels, so we booked one of the larger rooms and had plenty of space for all of our luggage and golf clubs. We had a rental car and were able to pull in front of the hotel and give the keys to the staff and they took care of the car, which was great! The breakfast and location were great. We really enjoyed our last drink or two each evening spent at the hotel bar with fellow travelers and awesome staff. Nikita, Paulo, and another younger gentleman with a great head of hair whose name I forget were great hosts to us. We enjoyed the cocktails, service, and conversations had at the bar!"

"We had booked a Standard Room for our week long stay in Porto. On arrival we were told our room was on the ground floor which we were not happy with. After discussing this with the check in team they agreed we could have a standard room on the fourth floor. The room we were given was very small and more bijou and the view outside was onto a roof with air conditioning pipe work and solar panels on view! There was very little room to move around the bed making our week long stay quite difficult at times. The so called wardrobe was tiny for two people taking into account the length of our stay. There was no hanging space for dresses, which I had to hang outside of the wardrobe! No drawer space at all therefore making storage of anything impossible, and nowhere to store shoes. I can’t imagine where they think you’ll store two big suitcases in a very small room, in our case we hid them behind the long curtains which again reduced the space around the bed. Other than one stool, the room was not big enough for any seating, therefore if you wanted to relax the only option was to lay on the bed which is not ideal! One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the fact it had a Roof Terrace. We only managed to sit up there once owing to the fact the hotel had arranged to have the outside of the building and windows cleaned during our stay! Instead of the two days we were told it would take, it went on for 3.5 days, during this time the roof was closed!! It was only after we complained about not being able to use the roof they decided to post a notice notifying all guests of the work. All signs around the hotel advertised the roof being open from 4pm - 10pm. On the plus side the Breakfast was very good, Continental style but they did have some hot foods such as scrambled egg and bacon. Coffee was self service via a machine where you choose your sachet which was very good. Fresh fruit was available every morning along with a choice of breads, cheese, meats etc. Personally, we would not stay here again despite the fact the location is deal for restaurants and all main attractions."
