ibis Geneve Centre Lac

"Very convenient location, close to the center but also to the station...with everything that entails. The building is quite dated. The room on the fifth floor is soundproofed, and the noises of nightlife do not disturb sleep. The good mattress also helps in this regard. The bathroom is clean but unfortunately the usual Ibis towel supply is one per person. Fast check-in & out, doorman and bar all night."

"A very nice Ibis with clean attractive rooms and extras you dont expect at Ibis (coffee machine). Price is great for Geneva. Location is both close to station and the lake. Close to some very chic hotels BUT on a very grotty street with prostitutes working openly. Not a problem but explains why the rates are so good? First Hotel that I have ever seen that charges to hold your bags after checkout. Baggage storage isn’t cheap in Switzerland, and it’s definitely a thingto pay. But I’ve never seen that anywhere in the world at a hotel for guests"

"We had booked a family room with a separate area for children and two bathrooms. This is very practical, especially when traveling with teenagers. We were welcomed nicely at the reception; check-in was very quick. The rooms are, as usual for Ibis, rather small but functional. Bathroom clean and everything worked. The breakfast was the usual standard at Accor hotels; unfortunately, the breakfast area in the hotel is very small. In return, there is free self-service coffee around the clock and a small bar next to the reception. In the immediate vicinity there are mainly foreign restaurants; it is a few minutes' walk to the lake. The old town of Geneva can be reached on foot in 20 minutes; the train station and bus station are in the immediate vicinity. For a short stay in Geneva, the hotel is highly recommended."
