Antigoni Hotel

"For starters I feel alot of these reviews are completely unfair and half of them are not accurate from people who will fault anything. I guess with running a business you will never please everyone. Me and my partner stayed here for 2 weeks all inclusive and it was fabulous, it wasn’t perfect but which holiday is? People will nitpick anything I’ve saw a review about flys landing on people like the hotel has any control over that simply just pathetic.. the rooms are dated which is obvious however you don’t spend time in your room and if you do why would you go to 30+ degrees to sit in a room? For what we paid we couldn’t really fault it. The pool area is huge with so many sunbeds yes people hog beds and leave towels down for there entire stay (we did) the alternative is waking up at 6am to get a sunbed which people would also complain about so once again never going to please everyone. The pool is missing music which a lot of people did ask about however most people brought speakers to the pool which solved that issue instant so no issues there. If I had to be really critical I would say the all inclusive drinks menu is quite limited with only around 10 cocktails but once again you can’t cater for everyone. The food I can’t fault, the selection is so vast every night there is a different theme. You have breakfast till 10am not long after lunch starts which there is also cakes , chips meats, nuggets, skewers, salads it changes daily then lunch finishes around 2:30 then there is a short break then there’s snack bar which is burgers fries toasties, salads this runs from 3:45 till around 5 then dinner till 9:30 there is food drinks available 24/7 so if you don’t fancy eating at lunch you don’t have to wait till dinner as there is food in between. The hotel smells lovely, everytime you walk into reception from the pool me and my partner was always hit with a lovely scent which we commented on multiple times Staff are very friendly , helpful and talkative , maids are lovely come every single day new bedding new towels toilet cleaned shower , if you tell them you want the room cleaned later they will make sure to come back which is rare. For what we paid and the stay we had I cannot fault it, the location is perfect if you take the back steps to the left of the hotel you are right on potoras strip the bus stop is right there for 2 euro if you want to go to Ayia Napa. Overall a lovely friendly place which is priced very fair for what you get. There is a white cat who’s quite old which is usually around the hotel who we fed every single day and the alley way towards the strip is a family of kittens a mom and dad who we always fed every single day , I asked the bar man about the cat and he said everyone pays attention to him he has been here about 6 months so if you do stay here please make sure to feed them :)"

"Somehow, I liked this hotel more than I should've. It has loads of issues, but the overall experience was not terrible. Definitely not good either. The Pros The staff are lovely and hard-working. Great location. Room air-con is good. There wasn't a hint of trouble here. We met some great people. Protaras is a really nice resort. Cons The hotel is incredibly dated, It needs to be renovated from top to bottom. It's dirty in places. One plug in the room is very awkward. Many of the guests treat the place like a dump which it does not deserve. Food wasn't for me but might be for you. One Iron and board to do the entire hotel. Incredibly busy in Aug. Towels are a free-for-all at the pool. Utter shambles. If you stay here expecting to be blown away, you will have a terrible time. Come here with low expectations, and you will find it pleasant enough. I won't be back myself, but don't hate the place. It met my expectations of a more budget hotel more or less. It's still lacking in a certain way. Protaras in Aug is also absolutely heaving with people."

"The Antigoni is perfect for being right on the strip, with loads of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is ok, and the staff is brilliant. Tbf, the rooms are a bit tired and could do with modernisation, but then you're not spending your holiday in your room. A/I package could be better, especially with their snacks...unfortunately not good. Lunches and dinners have different theme nights, so again. It depends what you like. The biggest downside is the sunbeds; they have a sunbed war, which caused issues 😳. I liked the Antigoni, especially the location and the staff."
