"I’ve stayed in plenty of 3- and 4-star hotels over the years, including many all-inclusive resorts, and I can honestly say that this hotel is, at best, a 2-star.
We travelled as a large group of 13 people across 4 rooms, so we had plenty of experience of the hotel and its facilities during our 7-day stay. Unfortunately, this hotel was not what we had hoped or expected.
🏨 Rooms
We specifically booked and paid for a pool-view room, only to arrive and find that our “pool view” consisted of run-down residential buildings and a tree. Definitely not the view we paid for.
The rooms themselves are clean, but very small and absolutely not suitable for a family of four. There is no sofa or additional seating — just two large double beds that completely dominate the room, leaving very little space. With one small wardrobe for 4 of us!
There are also no tea or coffee-making facilities in the rooms. For a hotel advertised as 4-star, I find this unacceptable.
You can apparently rent an iron & kettle from reception with a €20 deposit, but honestly, in a 4-star hotel, guests shouldn’t have to rent basic things like an iron, never mind having to ask for a kettle.
One of our rooms also had a serious flooding problem whenever my mother used the shower. This was reported five times, yet the only response was someone coming up to mop the floor. The water wasn’t just contained to the bathroom — it flooded the entire floor of the room and actually ran underneath the door all the way towards the lifts.
This was clearly a slip hazard for anyone walking past, yet there didn’t seem to be any real concern or urgency from the hotel about resolving the underlying problem.
♿ Accessibility
The so-called ramp for prams and wheelchairs is extremely narrow and very long, making it difficult and inconvenient to use. Other option is carry prams or wheel chair up a lot of steps.
🏊 Pools & Activities
The pools and slides were actually the one thing our family really enjoyed. The kids had fun with them.
However, there are plenty of issues.
The area around the pools is extremely slippery, which is worrying when you have children running around. My 5 year old was walking in the baby pool and cut his toe off the flooring of the pool so I recommend pool shoes. Floating plaster in the pool one day also.
Getting a sun lounger wasn’t too difficult, but finding a working parasol/umbrella was another story. Most of them were broken.
The baby pool/slides area is also gated off until 10am, so younger children can’t use it before then.
During our entire 7-day stay, there was very little going on around the pool for children. I saw water polo once and aqua fitness once during the whole week. Compared with other all-inclusive hotels I’ve stayed at, this was extremely disappointing.
One of the slides was also closed during our stay, and there were police at the hotel investigating it, which was obviously concerning.
🍽️ Food – By Far the Biggest Disappointment
The food was AWFUL.
I’ve done plenty of all-inclusive holidays, so I fully understand that food can be repetitive and basic. That’s not the issue here. The food was more like a chaotic canteen than what I’d expect from a 4-star all-inclusive hotel.
There wasn’t a tablecloth in sight, and the whole dining experience felt very basic and disorganised.
On one occasion, my son got a hot dog from the one man grill. There was always a huge queue for the one grill with one chef working it, but he was first in line and received his hot dog incredibly quickly. I immediately knew there was no way it had been cooked properly.
I felt it and it was cold inside.
We ended up having to go out and eat for our meals, despite paying nearly €4,000 for an all-inclusive holiday. That says everything about the food.
🍹 Drinks & Snack Bar
The drinks and snack bar were okay during the day.
And if you’re hoping for a nice cocktail or glass of prosecco in the evening think again.
On our first night, I ordered a mojito. It came in a tiny children’s-party-style plastic cup and was basically green lime water from a machine. Not a mint leaf in sight!
I then ordered a glass of prosecco, which was served in the same tiny plastic cup.
After paying nearly €4,000 for our stay, I wasn’t prepared to sit drinking prosecco from a tiny plastic cup. I actually had to go into the restaurant, get a proper glass and bring it outside so I could pour my drink into it.
I understand health and safety but it was the evening and the pools were closed.
My son also went for an ice cream one evening and was told that the all-inclusive ice cream had stopped at a certain time — I believe he was told 8:30pm.
🚕 Getting a Taxi – An Absolute Nightmare
Another major issue is the taxi situation.
The hotel will not order a taxi for you. When we asked reception, they simply gave us a phone number.
That number would either ring out or we’d be told a taxi was being sent, only for the taxi never to arrive.
The taxi situation in the whole area seems absolutely disgraceful. We even went to Lidl one day and couldn’t get a taxi back to the hotel.
One of our family members eventually had to walk to a nearby hotel and ask them to order a taxi for us.
We mentioned the situation to one of the taxi drivers, who told us that the best hotel in the area apparently wanted to charge taxi drivers a service fee for collecting guests from the hotel. I obviously can’t confirm whether that’s true, but it would certainly explain why getting a taxi from this hotel was so difficult.
🎭 Evening Entertainment
The evening entertainment was the usual mini disco followed by a show or something from the animation team.
The mini disco was quite late at around 9pm, and only consisted of around 3 or 4 songs.
The entertainment itself was fairly standard, but the stage definitely needs updating. The backdrops looked incredibly dated — I’ve seen better backdrops at children’s birthday parties in people’s back gardens.
📍 Location
The location is another major downside.
The hotel is surrounded by a residential area, and it’s around a 20–25 minute walk to the seafront, where you’ll find the shops and restaurants.
The walk down isn’t particularly scenic, and the surrounding area generally looks dirty, run-down and neglected. Big gap along the stirs steps to the pools and restaurant. Major hazzard for any small child to fall a hight.
There were also constant sirens throughout the day and night, which didn’t exactly make for a relaxing holiday.
Personally, I found the area to be very disappointing.
💰 Final Thoughts
This hotel has potential. The pools and slides are good fun for children, and the rooms were at least clean.
But unfortunately, it feels like whoever is running/owning the hotel isn’t willing to invest the money needed to bring it up to a genuine 4-star standard.
❌ Bottom Line
This is NOT a 4-star hotel in my opinion. At best, I’d rate it 2 stars.
The pools and slides were the only real highlight for our family. The food was terrible, the rooms were far too small, the facilities felt dated, the service was disappointing, the taxi situation was a nightmare, and the surrounding area was unpleasant."
