"My friend and I stayed here for four nights in May 2026. The room was spotless, and the housekeeping staff were lovely, friendly, and very accommodating. The bathroom was stocked with shower gel, which also served as soap and shampoo, and the hairdryer was excellent.
The location is perfect, less than a 10-minute walk from the town centre, with a bus stop directly opposite the hotel providing easy access to nearby areas, including Benalmádena (be sure to have change as the driver will not accept anything bigger than a €10 note). The brunch, served from 8:00am to 1:30pm, was outstanding, with a wide selection of food and something to suit every taste. The restaurant staff were friendly, efficient and worked hard to keep everything well stocked.
David at reception was exceptional. He was professional, helpful, spoke excellent English, and consistently went out of his way to assist guests. He is a real asset to the hotel.
There were a few drawbacks. Check-in is primarily via a self-service machine, and we had to insist on receiving a physical key rather than relying on the app, which proved unreliable at times. The pool bar was often very busy and could benefit from additional staffing during peak periods. That said, the woman working there was very friendly, professional and hardworking. Any delays were through no fault of her own, and she managed the queues impressively while maintaining a positive attitude throughout.
I also felt it was unreasonable to charge more than €3 per day for use of the room safe, and the absence of a fridge in the room was disappointing.
Overall, I would recommend Tent Torremolinos and thank the team for their hospitality.
However, I feel it is important to mention a disappointing experience regarding a room upgrade. We originally booked a single room each and were unaware that it included a balcony, as this was not stated in my booking confirmation. Prior to arrival, we received an email offering an upgrade to a "Double Room with Balcony." Based on the wording of that offer, we understood that we would be upgrading from a single room without a balcony to a room that included both a balcony and a double bed.
While we did receive a balcony, the room contained two single beds rather than a double bed. When I queried this with the hotel after our stay, I was informed that the original room already included a balcony and that the upgrade email was an automated promotional message sent to all guests.
As a result, my friend and I paid for what we believed was a genuine upgrade, only to discover afterwards that the original room already included a balcony and that the "Double Room" consisted of two single beds rather than a double bed. Given that the booking was for a single occupant, I believe the wording of the promotion was misleading and could easily cause confusion for other guests. I was really disappointed that we had paid extra for a feature that was already included in our original booking, and I do not feel this was made sufficiently clear in the upgrade offer."
