"Just returned from an amazing week at the Protur Floriana resort. What can I say it completely exceeded all expectations. We went with our 2 children aged 9 and 6 and they had an amazing time too. We went all inclusive. The food was absolutely delicious, at breakfast a fabulous choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, lovely fresh watermelon and melon, delicious fresh pastries every day, omelettes made to order, English cooked breakfast with all the trimmings, pancakes, churros, waffles! With lots of drink choices. Breakfast was 8-10:30 and after that there was brunch in the main building restaurant which pretty much took you to lunch which was served at 1pm. Again an amazing choice of salads pizzas, things the kids would like such as hot dogs burgers too. Along with pastas chips and other foods to try. The salads were so fresh with Lovely tomatoes olives lettuce etc. In the afternoon there was more snacks and cakes in the afternoon if you wanted them to take you to dinner at 6:30pm. Each evening there was themed food, the Mexican night was great as well as Chinese etc. the sweets were delicious too. Always ice cream and sprinkles for the kids along with Lovely cakes at pastries. There was 2 restaurants on the site. The smaller restaurant was near our apartment so we ate there at breakfast and lunch and on an evening it was an Italian restaurant which you were allocated 1 booking a week but they said you could ask for more. Otherwise we just ate at the main restaurant. During the day there was ice lollies available and soft drinks, slushies and beers etc and always a fresh water tap to fill up bottles etc. The entertainment was really good too. The kids club was on 10:30am each day apart from Sunday and they ran an activity programme including treasure hunts, Face painting, games etc. which was displayed at reception. On the afternoon there was activities at the pool and also an adults programme of activities too. My eldest went once to the kids club but I think it was a little young for him so he just did colouring but the ladies running it were great really positive and worked so hard as they also did the evening entertainment and kids disco with so much energy. The evening entertainment was good too, geared up for all nationalities staying at the complex, magic shows, dancing and singing. We also found the activities you could do were great. On a morning we paid a refundable deposit at reception each day and could borrow equipment for table tennis, Basketball, volleyball, football, tennis and on the last day we did bikes. The bikes were also free but if you wanted you could hire a buggy which is what we did to see the resort together. Also reasonable pool table just €1 a game which was popular.
There was 4 pools and the indoor pool. The main pool where activities were was quite busy but there was a splash pool for younger kids or one near our apartment in block h next to the smaller restaurant. There was also a small pool near block G which was nice and quieter to keep and eye on the kids in the pool.
Our apartment was really nice. Over the road from the main complex, apartments look slightly different from the photos but still nice up to 4 floors so not too high. Maid service was everyday except 2 days and did a great job. I would say the bathrooms were slightly dated decor wise but still in very good condition. So not sure if the ones closer had been refurbished. But it wasnt an issue and the apartment was lovely. Safe easy to use and air con did the job. Apartment nice and quiet apart from my only issue- I was so looking forward to having a sleep in on holiday but outside there appears to be cockerels who live on the site, some cute baby chicks but every morning without fail around 5 am they started crowing. Maybe closer to the complex it might not have been as loud but then the evening entertainment would have been closer and possibly louder. It wasn’t a huge issue just thought I’d make people aware. The location of hotel was good. Just a 5 min walk to the seafront if you go left down there it takes you to the harbour and right takes you to Cala Millor beach and lots of shops bars and restaurants all along the way. Plus a cycle path if you go left do hire bikes etc. You can get a land train which links you to the resorts or we got the bus which was nice and easy and had a day at Sa Coma which has a lovely beach.
Overall it was amazing, staff couldn’t do enough for you reception always friendly and helpful, the bar staff did table service at the evening entertainment and were great. Restaurant staff were great and even the ground staff did a great job keeping up with any maintenance around the complex. I didn’t want to come home. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend."
