"There are luxury hotels, and then there are hotels that genuinely stay with you. Myconian Avaton is one of those rare places. From the moment you arrive, everything feels effortlessly sophisticated — spectacular design, impeccable standards, exceptional service and an atmosphere that manages to be glamorous, cool and completely relaxed at the same time. A huge and heartfelt thank you to Kalliopi, who is an absolute standout. She is the definition of a top professional — incredible attention to detail, warmth, elegance and a level of personal management that makes you feel genuinely looked after. Her presence elevates the entire experience, and she is a huge credit to Avaton. Luxury with Personality What makes Avaton so special is that it delivers the level of luxury you would expect from one of the world’s finest Dubai hotels, but with something those larger luxury properties can sometimes lack: personality, intimacy and individuality. It has all the glamour and sophistication, but it still feels personal. Nothing feels corporate or impersonal. There is character everywhere. The atmosphere is exactly what we love — cool, stylish, Ibiza-inspired and effortlessly chic. The DJ plays fantastic, carefully chosen music that creates a wonderful energy around the hotel. And yet, somehow, you can still find complete tranquillity. There are different areas to relax, so you can choose your experience — whether you want to be right in the middle of the atmosphere or tucked away somewhere completely peaceful. The pool is another highlight. The temperature is beautifully warm — which is particularly welcome in the Mediterranean, where pools can often be surprisingly cold. You can walk across the pool water to the infinity end while taking in that extraordinary view across the bay. And the view… Quite simply, breathtaking. One of the most beautiful views in the world. You can sit there for hours and still find yourself looking at it. The poolside jacuzzis are another gorgeous touch of luxury — the kind of detail that makes you stop, relax and realise just how special the setting is. The Food — Truly Exceptional But if there is one thing that deserves the biggest possible mention, it is the food. We have eaten in the different Myconian hotels during our stay, and the culinary experience has been nothing short of extraordinary. What is so impressive is that every restaurant feels completely different. Each hotel has its own identity, its own atmosphere, its own design and its own culinary personality. You never feel as though you are simply eating in another hotel restaurant — every meal feels like a completely new destination. And the food itself is exceptional on every level. We have eaten in some wonderful restaurants around the world, but the standard across the Myconian Collection genuinely ranks among the very best we have experienced anywhere. The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the dishes, the presentation, the flavours and — perhaps most importantly — the consistency are all outstanding. Every plate feels considered. There is real skill and imagination behind the cooking, but it never feels overworked. The food is luxurious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. This is not simply hotel food. This is destination-level dining. The restaurants combine extraordinary food with beautiful settings and deeply personal service, creating an experience that rivals — and in many cases surpasses — restaurants we have visited anywhere in the world. In fact, one of our favourite discoveries was that you simply don’t need to leave the Myconian Collection to have an exceptional culinary experience. We used the complimentary bus into Mykonos Town once, and the service was brilliantly organised, but honestly, we much preferred exploring the restaurants and bars within the Myconian hotels. There are six different experiences to discover, each beautifully designed and completely individual. You can move from one hotel to another and feel as though you have travelled somewhere entirely different. That is a very special luxury. The Myconian Team The service throughout the collection is another major reason the experience is so memorable. A huge shout-out to the mini-bus drivers. They are absolutely fantastic — incredibly friendly, professional, cheerful and always happy to help. There is a genuine warmth to them that makes every journey feel personal. The organisation is also superb. Quite often, they are already waiting for you because they know you are finishing your meal. If you do have to wait, it is usually no more than a couple of minutes. It is seamless service — but delivered with a smile. Around the Avaton pool, Maria and Kevin deserve a very special mention. Their service was first class, attentive and exactly what you expect from a truly exceptional luxury hotel - well done guys. And of course, Dennis the Menace behind the bar — an absolute character and a master of the cocktail. His drinks were fantastic, and his personality adds another wonderful dimension to the experience. We had the most beautiful massage at the Utopia- again - exceptional and a definite experience you should book. Beautiful in Every Detail The hotel is absolutely immaculate. The décor is spectacular — sophisticated, cool, contemporary and beautiful, with every detail carefully thought through. There is a wonderful balance between natural Mediterranean surroundings and high-end international luxury. A New Favourite A huge thank you to Kalliopi and her fabulous team for an unforgettable stay. Myconian Avaton has become a personal favourite of ours because it delivers something very difficult to achieve — true five-star luxury while still feeling personal, warm, cool and completely individual. The extraordinary setting, spectacular views, beautiful design, exceptional service, incredible atmosphere and — above all — the outstanding food make this much more than simply a luxury hotel. It is an experience. We have loved every minute of it, and we will absolutely be returning customers of the Myconian Collection. Avaton is exceptional. The Myconian Collection is exceptional. "We’re currently halfway through our stay at Myconian Avaton and already feel compelled to write a review because the experience so far has been exceptional. From the beautiful setting and views over Elia Beach to the quality of the food and facilities, everything feels incredibly well thought through. What really makes Avaton special, though, is the team. The focus on customer experience and service is exceptional, and you genuinely feel that everyone wants you to have the best possible stay. A special mention has to go to Kalliopi, the manager, who is absolutely wonderful. She is warm, approachable and clearly takes a huge amount of pride in the hotel and her team. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and she has gone out of her way to make sure we are looked after. Around the pool, Kevin and Maria have been fantastic and always look after us with a smile. And then there’s Dennis — or “Dennis the Menace” as we’ve come to call him! — the head barman, who has been brilliant. Great service, great personality and someone who clearly knows how to make guests feel welcome. The pool atmosphere deserves a special mention too. Every afternoon there is a different DJ playing fantastic Ibiza-style chill music, which creates such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere around the pool. It’s the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon by the water, and really adds something special to the whole experience. One of the things we particularly love about staying at Avaton is the ability to experience the other Myconian hotels and their restaurants. Each hotel has its own completely different look and atmosphere, but the restaurants have all been excellent. The hotel transfer service between the properties makes it particularly easy to enjoy a different setting without the hassle of arranging transport yourself. It really feels like the Myconian Collection has created something special where you’re not just staying at one hotel — you have the opportunity to experience several different properties, restaurants and atmospheres during your stay. We’re only halfway through our holiday, but it’s already clear that the people are what make Avaton stand out. Kalliopi, Kevin, Maria, Dennis and the whole team genuinely understand what great hospitality means. We’re absolutely loving our stay so far and, if the second half is anything like the first, we’ll be very sad to leave. We’re already talking about when we can come back!"
