"We spent five nights at The Lake Como EDITION in late August with our group across two rooms, and we had an incredible family vacation. We were traveling from the US for our Europe summer trip. This hotel is absolutely stunning, and while the physical property and location are spectacular, what made our stay truly special was the people.
The staff throughout the hotel were so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. You could tell they have a great team that is trying their very best to make every guest’s experience special. We noticed so many little extra touches throughout our five-night stay — moments where someone went out of their way to help, anticipate what we needed, or simply make us feel welcome. That genuine care really stood out to us. The physical beauty of this property is hard to overstate. The setting, architecture, design, and lake views are incredible, and you simply cannot beat the location.
One of our favorite parts of the stay was breakfast, which is included with your stay. Rather than a traditional buffet, it’s an à la carte experience where you can order as many items as you’d like. The fruit plate, ginger shot, avocado toast and hash browns were excellent, and paired with a cappuccino, breakfast became something we genuinely looked forward to every morning.
The pool is one of the most unique hotel pools I’ve ever experienced. It’s essentially a floating pool deck on Lake Como, surrounded by the lake and mountains. It is incredibly beautiful and such a memorable setting.
And the spa is phenomenal. We had a couples massage during our stay that was easily a 10/10. Hotel guests can also access the spa facilities even if they don’t have a treatment booked, which is a huge perk. The thermal pool, cold plunge, steam room, sauna, and relaxation areas are all fantastic. It was honestly an incredible spa experience and one of the highlights of our trip.
The hotel also offers complimentary fitness classes multiple times a week in a separate studio beyond the gym. We took a stretch class and were the only ones there, so it felt like having our own private class. Definitely check the schedule and take advantage of these offerings.
As Marriott Bonvoy Titanium members, we were invited to a special Titanium member event in the Presidential Suite one evening during our stay. The views were stunning, and the Prosecco and bites were delicious. It was another thoughtful touch that made our stay feel particularly special.
We ate at Renzo, the on-property restaurant and bar, one evening and really enjoyed it. The food throughout the property was consistently very, very good.
We rented a car during our stay, and the valet team was wonderful. They were always attentive and handled everything seamlessly, especially with our luggage and multiple bags. Housekeeping was also excellent — our rooms were incredibly clean, and we never had an issue throughout the five nights.
While the hotel itself is so beautiful that you could easily spend your entire trip there, I would definitely encourage guests to get off property and explore some of the nearby dining options. Bar Imbibe has a great aperitivo hour, and Regina Pizzeria has a beautiful outdoor lakefront setting that is perfect for an al fresco pizza night. There’s also a little pizza shop just up the steps behind the hotel that serves a huge half-meter pizza — a fun and very casual experience. Also make sure to book an afternoon on the boat to explore Lake Como.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The hard product is stunning, the location is unbeatable, the pool and spa are extraordinary, and the food is excellent — but it was the warmth and care of the team that really made the experience. We saw the extra effort people made throughout our stay, and those small touches added up to something really meaningful.
