Hotel Medici

"First time going to Rome and it was excellent, hotel staff were all polite and helpful, All the hotel was clean room great just missing tea and coffee The hotel was about 20 minutes walk to Colosseum, tour guide was great and very knowledgeable"

"Hotel was booked through Tui. Hotel was clean and got cleaned every day. Walls are paper thin. Breakfast was very slim choice and didnt re fill once all gone. Not a lot of choice for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful apart from the miserable man in the breakfast room who told us we not alowed to eat breakfast in the garden. !!"

"Just came back from a four night visit and must say we were impressed by the standard of the hotel based on it being a 3 star hotel. The room we had was very clean and faced the road which was fine and very quiet at night. The room had air-con though ours was a bit noisy during the night. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. There is also a map of the city in the reception you can take to help you plan your visit. The breakfast is a basic continental one with not a lot of choice which for us was the only downside. We found the hotel was in a good position if you wanted to visit the major attractions. If you want to tour the city get a ticket for the Big Bus as it has eight stops close to the main attractions and the nearest stop to the hotel is stop 8 which is about a 15 minute walk easy to find if you use Google Maps or the iPhone version. There are around six restaurant's close to the hotel and we tried three of them. For us we found Ristorante Alfiero which is just around the corner the best value for money and the food is authentic Italian and very good which is what we wanted. Overall we were happy with our visit"
