"Our stay at the chalet was unfortunately not the best experience, mainly because of the room condition, housekeeping, and reception service.
The room handover was not handled properly. We were staying in a triple room, but the extra bed was extremely noisy and squeaked with every movement, which was very annoying, especially at night.
When we first checked in, there were only four tissues left in the tissue box. We thought it was a minor issue and didn’t complain. However, the next day, the room service did not replace the tissues, even though they entered the room while we were outside. The wardrobes were also full of dust.
There was no iron or hair dryer in the room. In addition, for a hotel that is supposed to be a 5-star property, the in-room amenities were far below what I would expect, especially considering the price we paid. There were no slippers, toothbrushes or toothpaste, or shaving kits. The available supplies were basically just shampoo, shower gel, and a small bar of soap. For a 5-star hotel with relatively high rates, I consider this to be very limited and disappointing.
Also, although we were three people, most of the room amenities were provided only for two people: cups, Nescafé, tea, shampoo, shower gel, etc. There was only one small soap for the three of us. The following day, nothing was replenished. On the third day, after we complained, we were given supplies for only two people, and we were told that these were the standard room amenities. We still received only one small soap for three guests.
The room door handle and lock were also in very poor condition and kept getting stuck. Unfortunately, dealing with this issue was especially frustrating for the ladies in our group, and the reception staff were not very helpful. We had to call several times regarding the same issues, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.
On the positive side, the sea was nice, and the swimming pool near the jacuzzi was beautiful and clean. The lifeguard there was extremely polite, helpful, and professional. He was honestly one of the best people we met at the hotel.
The restaurant staff were also very respectful, friendly, and cooperative, and the food was very good overall. The desserts were average in taste, but of course, this is subjective and differs from one person to another.
The main swimming pool, however, was not clean on one of the days. There was what looked like plaster in the water, and the water was yellowish because construction work was being carried out nearby. On another day, the pool was clean. In my opinion, this type of work should be done at night or very early in the morning, and the pool should be properly cleaned before guests are allowed to use it.
The lobby bar staff were also excellent and very friendly.
Another disappointing aspect was the lack of entertainment and atmosphere during the day. There was practically no animation or activities to create a lively atmosphere for guests. There were only some evening shows/parties, but unfortunately, they were not particularly impressive and could have been much better.
Overall, there were some very good aspects to our stay, especially the restaurant staff, lobby bar staff, lifeguard, and some of the facilities. However, the biggest disappointment was the room itself, housekeeping, and the lack of cooperation from reception.
For a hotel marketed as a 5-star property, and considering the price point, I expected a much higher standard of room preparation, amenities, housekeeping, entertainment, and service. Unfortunately, based on this experience, this is not an experience I would personally choose to repeat."
