"We’ve been home for just two days after spending a week at Atlantica Thalassa over my birthday, and we’re already missing it and wishing we were back! 🥹❤️ Once again, we’ve had an amazing holiday, and it’s all down to the fantastic staff who make this hotel feel so special. We’re already hoping to return again next year!
A special mention to Edyta, the Reservations Manager, who was amazing as always. Before we arrived, she was brilliant at answering all my emails, arranging twin beds and liaising with the restaurant team regarding my coeliac disease. She also arranged for the Hotel Manager, Dionisios, and Restaurant Manager, Stamatia, to organise my gluten-free menus for both lunch and dinner. This takes so much stress away from my holiday, meaning I can relax and enjoy myself without constantly worrying about food. Thank you, Edyta, for always making everything so easy for us!
On arrival, we were greeted so warmly and welcomed with a lovely glass of lemonade. As we had a late check-in, the hotel had kindly prepared a bag of food for us to take to our rooms. This included sandwiches, fruit and crisps, with a gluten-free option for me too! Our suitcases were also taken to our rooms, which was very much appreciated after a long journey. These little touches make such a difference and are a lovely way to start your holiday.
The restaurant team deserve the biggest thank you!
Stamatia, the Restaurant Manager, honestly goes above and beyond for me every single time. I cannot thank her enough for the care and attention she gives me. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and if I fancy something different, she will always do her best to arrange it. She regularly checks in to make sure I’m happy and that everything is okay. As someone with coeliac disease, this level of care and understanding means more than words can say. It allows me to enjoy my holiday without the worry and anxiety that can often come with eating away from home.
Chef Starros is absolutely amazing, and the food he prepares is incredible! Gluten-free food has honestly never tasted so good! 😍 A huge thank you to him and to all the other chefs working behind the scenes whose names I unfortunately didn’t catch. Your hard work really does make a difference, and it’s so appreciated.
For anyone eating a non-gluten-free diet, there was also so much choice and variety. You never felt as though you were eating the same things every day. Everything was fresh, there was always plenty available, and we even got to try dishes we’d never had before, which was a lovely bonus.
Linda at breakfast and lunch was another absolute star!
I would go to Linda every morning to order my gluten-free breakfast, and she would always greet me with a smile. What really stood out was her willingness to learn. If I mentioned something she didn’t quite understand, she would ask a colleague to show her what I meant so she could remember for next time. That might seem like a small thing to some people, but to me it meant the world. It shows how much she genuinely cares about making guests feel comfortable and looked after. Thank you, Linda, for always being so lovely!
The daytime entertainment team were fantastic too!
Kat, Jaylin and Ally were honestly the best. There were plenty of activities throughout the day, and they always kept the atmosphere fun and lively without ever making anyone feel pressured to join in. They really helped keep everyone’s spirits up.
A special mention to Kat, who was always going around chatting to guests, making people feel welcome and taking the time to get to know everyone. That friendly, approachable attitude makes such a difference to the atmosphere around the hotel.
Konna, the lifeguard, was also very attentive around the pool and friendly with guests throughout the day. She was always keeping an eye on everyone while still taking the time to speak to people and make them feel welcome.
And finally, the bar staff deserve a huge thank you!
Noel, Alladin, Ken, Christina and Konna were all brilliant. The service was always delivered with a smile, orders were taken promptly, and glasses were regularly cleared away to keep everything clean and tidy. They all worked so hard, and their efforts certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
Having known quite a few of these lovely staff members for several years, it’s always so nice to return and be welcomed back by familiar faces. The fact that they remember you, take the time to talk to you and make you feel at home is one of the many reasons we love coming back to Atlantica Thalassa.
Overall, another fantastic holiday at a hotel that means so much to us. ❤️
