"The hotel is immaculately clean. The staff are so very helpful without being intrusive. There is a very laid back atmosphere and a shuttle service available to the main road where there are regular buses into Chania. If you choose to walk to the main road it is about a 15 minute walk. I loved staying at this hotel and should we return here, would definitely stay here again"

"Overall a nice clean yet quiet hotel. Based on the top of a hill, walking down is fine and up a little more difficult when hot but a shuttle bus does run every other hour or so to drop you off/ bring you back. Always managed to get a sun bed no matter what time of the day. Drinks reasonably priced, pool bar food was decent, we had lunch there 3 times. Half board includes breakfast and dinner, I’m not a fussy eater and managed to find something to eat every day. However the selection of food is poor, very small buffet, probably the smallest selection of food I’ve had on holiday. I did expect more, it was nothing special. Check out is 11am - you can request late check out which cost €65 and extends check out to 6pm so we paid it. Our flight home wasn’t until 11:15pm, we were being picked up at 8:15pm. We attended dinner at 6:30, plated our food and sat down. Was shocked by the waiter when he informed us that as we checked out today dinner will be €20 each. We could not justify paying for our food when we could have went to a restaurant down the road for a better quality meal and not be charged that much. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at where they demand payment for food the day of leaving. It definitely left a bitter taste to the end of our trip. Suggestion, they should make this clear when checking out or include dinner in the late checkout fee of €65."
