Lindos Grand Resort & Spa

"We had a double room with a sea view; the room was clean and functionally furnished, comfortable king-size bed, nice lighting, large balcony, direct view of the sea from the bed. The fact that the door opener to the balcony was located directly behind a pillar was a bit awkward, but not a big deal. Conveniently, there is a car rental agency and a small supermarket right next to the hotel. In Greece, we always only book room/breakfast; for dinner, we went to good (not exactly cheap) restaurants in Vlychos (walking distance) or in Lindos (taxi 12-15 euros each way). The hotel itself has the most delicious club sandwiches. The quality of the breakfast buffet was totally fine. During peak times, some food items run out every now and then, but they are quickly replenished. We enjoyed the comfortable lounge chairs at the huge infinity pool and the fantastic view of the bay of Vlychos every day. It is not that far down to the pebble beach; the water in the sea was even warmer than in the pool and super clear. The only small drawback around the pool is the shade situation. The umbrellas provided no shade until the afternoon, and from the afternoon on, the neighboring spot was shaded. I imagine that would be a bit difficult in the summer, but it was no problem now in October. It was really nice and quiet around the pool the entire time. The staff does a great job, guest requests are taken seriously. One day before arrival, I sent an email with a request for an early check-in (approx. 12 PM) if possible, as well as for rooms close to each other for us and another couple who were arriving with a different booking and one day later. Both worked out wonderfully, we got two rooms next to each other. On the first day at breakfast in the outdoor area, the tables were not cleaned after use, so they could not be occupied afterwards. We informed the head of service about this, and from day 2 this also worked wonderfully. The check-in was a bit cumbersome; an app had to be downloaded, and during the approx. 15 minutes of check-in and explanations, we had to deal with four different people. There are a few cats in the hotel complex – anyone who is not exactly an animal hater gets along well with them. One cat had very young kittens; they were in the outdoor lounge between the lobby and the pool most of the time, they were a highlight for many guests. It is very suspicious, however, that there were 4 kittens present upon our arrival, but they became fewer almost every day, so that only 1 kitten was left when we departed. What could be happening there? An employee mentioned that people probably keep taking the kittens. Bizarre!"

"This was our third visit to the Lindos Grand Resort and Spa. The welcome is second to none always and the view as you initially walk through the entrance takes your breath away. We had two dinners in the Asian Restaurant which were superb. We used the private beach a couple of times as we found the pool cold and the sea is warmer! Just a minor point but it wouldn't stop us returning again. Thank you to all the incredible staff whom we now class as our friends. We miss you"

"Lindos Grand Resort and Spa….what can I say. Amazing stay. All staff were polite, helpful and nothing was a problem. They all went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. We did a bed and breakfast stay as we are the sort of couple that like to adventure out and find local authenticate restaurants to go to. Breakfast selection was plentiful and delicious but what made it even better was the view. Our room was extremely spacious with a stunning sea view and amazing sunrise view also at 6:30am. Rooms are cleaned everyday to a great standard. Our only critic is that the bathroom does need a revamp. It is dated and also could do with TLC. The hotel come with a private pebble beach with very comfortable sunbeds, water crystal water and very friendly beach bar, were you can get something to eat and drink (beach bar prices are reasonable)."
