Hotel Bazzoni

"Referred to as the Marmite Hotel. Ideally situated on Lake Como Would highly recommend a balcony view.. The facilities at the hotel were good. Rooms cleaned everyday. Staff helpful. There is a bar which remains open quite late in the day Room 507 very peaceful. You can take a ferry across the lake to Bellagio for just 11 Euros. The breafast choice was excellent including cooked items such as bacon and omelettes. The Marmite bit:- The evening meals were dire. One evening the waiters came around with skewers of meat which were dripping in blood as they reached our plates, suffice to say they were returned rather qiuckly. The hotel is half board but packed lunches were supplied every day on request the day before. Lunches consisted of a roll,a small cake and a piece of fruit usually an apple or an orange plus a bottle of water. Worth it for the bottle of water alone."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and honestly don’t understand the many negative reviews. Everything was absolutely fine during our stay. Our triple room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful, the staff were kind and helpful, and the bar has lovely live music and wonderful cocktails. One of our favourite things was having breakfast in the dining room with its beautiful view of Lake Como. It was such a lovely way to start the day. The breakfast had a great variety of delicious food, with plenty of choice for everyone. The location is also perfect for exploring Lake Como. The boat station is directly opposite the hotel and there is a bus stop right next to it, making it very easy to get around and visit the surrounding towns. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!"

"Set in an ideal position overlooking the lake but that is all it has going for it. We had the tiniest room with twin beds crammed in. Only one bedside table no room for one opposite as fridge was there. We could find only one in the bathroom which charged phones and our kettle which we took. There were some charging slots each side of the beds but they never charged anything. Our air conditioning upside down a cable from fuse box went round door and was left hanging with tape round it. Curtains were too long and left draped on desktop. Our view was fire escape and could just see swimming pool . Food was poor and only good thing clean towels every day and room clean."
