Hotel Astoria

"The hotel was easy to find and the parking lot was right in front of the door. The reception was very friendly and the room on the top floor was beautiful with a large terrace and plenty of space. The breakfast buffet was very inviting and very well "stocked." When we arrived, the safe did not work, nor did the TV remote control. Both were fixed immediately after being reported. The location of the hotel is very central - many things are within walking distance."

"We stayed here in September 2026. The hotel is nice and in a good location. However the service was at par. The bartender was never at the bar. The front agent hides in the office area and does not come out even if you ring the bell. They made the bed, but did not provide fresh towels. When we called and requested new towels, they asked "why". The shower is horrible It only goes up to your chest. If you are only sleeping at the hotel, and do not require any customer service, then I would recommend staying at the hotel"

"I spent 1 night at this hotel now in August. The hotel's location is perfect. Very close to Lungmare boardwalk. However, the hotel has serious deficiencies that need to be addressed. The first and most important to me is the issue of accessibility. The hotel has no accessibility. To access the hotel, you use the stairs (huge) or a single small elevator, which depending on the sun, it doesn't work, according to what the receptionists themselves explained. In other words, a wheelchair user would never be able to frequent this hotel. Inside, there is also 1 single elevator to access the rooms. The room was very small and the room carpet was all damp, probably because of a water leak from the air conditioner. The breakfast is good, but without novelty. The dinner (I managed to eat at the hotel) was quite weak. Few varieties and the waiter didn't even come to my table to ask if I would like something to drink. I would go back to Opatija, but not to this hotel. Needs an urgent renovation."
