"Positives Large Rooms and balcony’s Receptionists very helpful and friendly Didn’t have to run to get sun beds Irons and ironing boards in room Washing machines Clothes airer on balcony (bring pegs) Fresh towels and cleaning daily Large fridge freezer and very cold fridge Shop nearby Ubers amazing got picked up within 2 minutes everytime and so cheap used them about 6 times Free shuttle bus to take you to any of the sister hotels from 8am till 11pm great service Towel hire €5 for your stay non refundable Free safe No noise from other rooms, nice and quiet All staff friendly Games room cheap €1 for most things Restaurant small and intimate and never big queues at buffet (wine, beer, soft drinks and juices available at every meal) Old town is lovely, Uber down to there around €6 and nice square, restaurants and beach front All tobacco shops same price so no point searching around each shop. Cheaper at Faro airport Faro airport on return journey has Subway, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Costa, a pub, a restaurant and few small shops. Don’t head to gate too early as minimal seats so you’ll just end up standing Spa within hotel and indoor pool (need to wear swimming cap in that one) Algarve Shopping Mall nice, plenty of shops and restaurants and only €8 in uber from hotel takes about 15 mins Negatives Umbrellas round pool dangerous and fly with wind so you have to hold pretty much whole time Pool freezing Air con not amazing but as in may not as hot so could manage (main air con bit on balcony can be loud) Dolphin watching and caves trip terrible don’t waste your money (didn’t see any dolphins, couldn’t go into caves and boat very choppy) Beach is down hill so it’s an uphill walk back after a long day so consider an uber as only €4 Drinks terrible all very watery and didn’t taste nice at all, ended up going to local shop to get drinks at times No Ice creams in restaurant at meal times Bbq snack bar round pool not good (burgers pink and nuggets and chips cold and hard as sat for long periods) Some food in restaurant ok but hit and miss you can use the sister hotels and book the other restaurants within the MGM group but wouldn’t recommend the Mexican as it was terrible, restricted menu, food had no taste Hairdryer in bathroom very low power so takes ages to dry Evening entertainment boring (bingo, karaoke, dancing all at 9pm for an hour) Daytime entertainment boring same thing (darts, stretching or aqua aerobics) and lady blowing whistle constantly Queues at pool bar all the time and lady has to wash up cups manually herself when she runs out. The man who runs bbq stands nearby but never helps bar staff struggling with long queues."

"Muss-Leya the entertainment man was a great guy and made every day fun. Always had a laugh with us and we will miss him ! Guys behind the bar and at the restaurant were all great too. Food was great. Drinks were great. Hotel spotless room was cleaned every day. Enjoyed playing water polo, Baldy’s versus non Baldy’s was a great laugh ! Every day was either fun or chilled, whatever you felt like doing. We would definitely come back. The strip is very lively the old town is lively but with its own charm. Quiet immediately around the hotel. Piccadilly bar had something on every night and we’d try and squeeze a last drink or 2 in there after doing the strip or the old town after dinner. Pool bar opens at 11am and they have a bbq on the go doing burgers and kebabs etc…. So you can either eat that or pop into the cake shop if you need something to keep you going (all included on the all inclusive). They do little tubs of ice creams at the pool bar too on the all inclusive so just ask. We have just got back and have nothing to moan about. Gym is good too."
