Octant Vila Monte

"From the moment you enter the grounds at Octant Vila Monte, you feel an incredible sense of tranquility. It is truly a magical place, and our only regret is that we aren’t staying longer. The staff are exceptional—warm, friendly, and so accommodating. They seem to anticipate whatever you might need, and their genuine kindness makes you feel completely cared for. The grounds are gorgeous, with lush greenery, beautiful plants, and magnificent old olive trees. Nature is woven into the entire experience, from the pool areas to the outdoor dining spaces. As an animal and nature lover, visiting the koi pond and its turtles became a daily highlight for me. With all that green surrounding you and a lovely breeze, it’s hard not to relax. The food deserves a 10+! Whether you’re a meat eater, pescatarian, or vegetarian, there is so much variety, with daily specials keeping things interesting. The chefs even accommodated us by preparing a mixed-seafood cataplana without octopus, since we don’t eat it. It was absolutely delicious, and that willingness to tailor a dish for us made the experience even more special. And the desserts? To die for! The room amenities are fantastic—they really do seem to think of everything. I also loved the thoughtful emphasis on well-being, nature, and sustainability, paired with high-quality products and every comfort you could want. It all feels luxurious and effortless. Although the resort welcomes families, the children and babies never detracted from the peaceful atmosphere during our stay. There are interactive play areas for children, and we noticed staff helping keep the little ones engaged. It’s lovely to see families enjoying themselves while the resort still feels so tranquil. I cannot say enough good things about Octant Vila Monte. The people, the food, the gardens, and the attention to detail make this somewhere truly special. I would wholeheartedly recommend it—and would happily stay longer!"

"Our stay at Octant Vila Monte was a beautiful immersion into the relaxed, authentic spirit of the Algarve — a place where the feeling of a traditional Portuguese farm meets thoughtful design and understated luxury. What makes Vila Monte so special is the sense of place. There is something wonderfully unhurried about arriving here: the gardens, the open spaces, the details inspired by local life, and the feeling of being welcomed into a beautiful countryside home rather than simply checking into a hotel. One of the highlights was dinner in the garden. Surrounded by greenery and under the evening sky, the experience felt effortlessly romantic and distinctly Portuguese — the kind of setting where a wonderful meal becomes a memory rather than simply a dinner. We also loved discovering the hotel’s newer area, which manages to feel completely connected to its surroundings. Rather than losing the character of Vila Monte, it brings an even stronger local feeling through its architecture, materials, and atmosphere. It feels contemporary while still belonging to the land. There is an authenticity here that is difficult to recreate: a sense of discovering the Algarve beyond the beaches, through its countryside, traditions, flavors, and slower rhythm of life."

"We stayed for a week at this hotel, which exceeded all expectations. Wonderful, we got a suite with a private pool. Very clean room, all the staff were out of this world in availability and friendliness. I have stayed in many 5-star hotels and never had service of this quality, from the moment we arrived until the last day we felt important. The room was spacious, with a beautiful decoration and careful cleaning. The beds are comfortable, the pillows are not very. Large outdoor space with sun loungers, I think a small clothesline is missing to hang swimsuits, and the cleaning in the outdoor area of the room needs to be improved. We had all meals at the hotel. Normal breakfast, quality and fresh products. We always have lunch and dinner at the restaurant A Terra, and I can only say wonderful things. Very well-made food, delicious, good portions, friendliness of all the staff. Of the best restaurants I have frequented and much better than many in Lisbon with renowned chefs. Congratulations to the whole team. The hotel also has a large outdoor area, with a lot of very well-maintained green space. We will surely return."
