"Have stayed here many times over the years but sadly it has gone downhill, and we would not stay again. Signs of poor maintenance are everywhere. Broken steps on stairs are common along with many missing tiles in the pools. What appears to be green algae around the edges of the pools. 2 of the major restaurants are permanently closed leaving few options to eat on site. It can be hard to find somewhere to eat on a Saturday if a wedding is being held as the other main bar is closed."

"This property located in the Old Village is a condominium. It's a superb holiday premises and I would highly recommend this 3 storey townhouse with a clean, fresh Mediterranean feel. A spacious living room, an open plan kitchen and with direct access into the garden patio area. 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor ideal for the family, and have 2 bathrooms available. 
Further stairs to the top floor to the rooftop seating area. Washing machine, dishwasher, a fridge freever and halogen cooker, all available. A spacious ground floor with a ground floor toilet. 
The location is about 20 minutes walk into Villamora Marina, which was busy and vibrant, but not ideal for a young family. The quiet evenings of the old village with noise restrictions from 11 p.m. was great. My wife and I attended with our 3 young children and found the premises fab.

"Vilamoura More upset with owner than live in holidays 1074031816 Very disappointing stay – property not up to standard ★ 1 star I have been visiting Old Village Vilamoura for over 15 years, and I was even married there, so I have always had a real affection for the resort. We have also used Live in Holidays as the letting agent previously and have never had an issue, which made this experience particularly disappointing. We stayed from 2 August for one week for my in-laws’ 60th birthday. We had originally booked an apartment for six people, but unfortunately the letting agent had to cancel the original booking and arranged two apartments next to each other instead. My in-laws’ one-bedroom studio was perfect, but sadly our two-bedroom, 3B Village Square apartment was a completely different story. From the moment we arrived, there were numerous problems: * The fold-out bed had broken slats, making it unusable. * The bathroom was dirty on arrival and smelt strongly of urine. * The shower curtain was mouldy. * The shower bracket was broken. * The kitchen was dirty. * The kitchen curtain was old, stained/weathered and in poor condition. * The bathroom tap constantly dripped. * There was a wall plug/socket visibly coming away from the wall, which was particularly concerning from a safety perspective. * The air conditioning leaked, leaving water on the floor and creating a genuine slip hazard. * The tower fan in the bedroom failed/exploded during the night. On inspection, there was a significant build-up of dust inside the fan, which was extremely concerning. The photographs attached show some of the condition we encountered, including the bathroom/shower area and the general state of the property. We contacted Live in Holidays to try to resolve the issues. They offered us a 10% discount on a future holiday, which I appreciate as a gesture, but this wasn’t really what I was looking for. After travelling to Old Village for so many years and choosing the resort for an important family birthday, I wanted the owner to take some responsibility for the condition of the property and the problems we experienced. Unfortunately, the owner has completely refused to accept any responsibility or offer any meaningful resolution. It is such a shame because we genuinely love Old Village and have had many fantastic experiences there over the years. However, based on our experience with this particular property, I would strongly advise anyone considering booking it to look elsewhere. If you are planning a stay at Old Village Vilamoura, please be very careful about booking this particular property. The standard of cleanliness, maintenance and safety we experienced was simply not acceptable. Photos attached as evidence of the condition of the property"
