"Currently on holiday here and a few things I wish I had knew before coming. All inclusive. Breakfast 8-10.30am - the usual breakfast but most of the hot food is lukewarm warm. Good selection of fruits, pastries, cereal with milk at room temp. Lunch: 1-3.30 and dinner 7.30-9pm usual stuff, rice dish, meats, quite nice, kids corner (very average) but it’s AI and there’s always something to find that’s there for everyone’s taste Rooms: clean which is a big thumbs up. Be cautious here. we had to DEMAND a room change. We got allocated a pool view and if you are wanting to relax or have children and want to be in bed at a sensible time avoid these at all costs. The first 3 night we had music blasting until nearly 1am and residents chanting on. With doors closed and pillows over heads it was unbearable!!!! If I bc old upload the video of how loud I would but staff agreed when it was played back to them. We got reallocated with a back room which has been really peaceful with Mountain View’s. ONE LAST ONE: tea or coffee. No facilities in room for a morning brew which is a massive downer for me. Nothing nicer than just enjoying that morning brew on your balcony. Pool: ok here we go for this family hotel. Pool opens 10am. No reservation of sunbeds (I agree with this because people who claim beds then leave them empty until afternoon are clearly arrogant and this stops this.) you can put towels down but you are required to stay with your towel or it will be removed. No floating aids, rings, pool noodles or balls or anything. So save your money in advance it’s a simple NO. A bit of a downer for a family based hotel. Also I’ve never seen pool cleaned since arriving. Lots of gravel on bottom, found grapes, bottle tops but no number 2s so it could be worse! Pool snacks: back to all inclusive no snacks available at pool bar no fries, no ice cream, you have to get dressed and go down to the restaurant. The snacks unfortunately are left over stuff from previous meal. Very disappointing. We went to a supermarket next door for some crisps for the children but were quickly approached and told if we want to eat these you have to do so in your room. Also until 11am all inclusive is unavailable so any drinks you have to purchase with them. Staff: staff are friendly and very helpful. They have a good kids club team although I think the program is still just ok. Life guards, kitchen staff, reception all happy to help and again cleaning service is very good! The location is nice. Santa Susanna is chilled, right next to station if you want day trip. Beach opposite nice but drops deep very quick! Nice shops and near by restaurants at tourist prices. Would I stay at this hotel again. No. It’s just not family based enough for me. The all inclusive package is very poor compared to other hotels I have visited in past. Evening entertainment has been poor but if you’re easily pleased and enjoy listening to the macerana every night you will be fine! 5/10"

"We are currently staying here as a British family with a 12 year old son. The hotel is clean and well located, flew into Girona and it was only 30 mins in a taxi. Lots of places to eat and little shops near by. We are bed and breakfast so can’t comment on the food in the day but breakfast is fine (eggs, bacon, beans, toast, pancakes and pastries along with the usual fruit and cereal etc) . The pool is small and there are not enough sun beds for all guests. Very few parasols so it is hard to keep in the shade. There are no inflatables or balls allowed in the pool so it is hard to keep children and teenagers entertained. There is a pool handy man who jet washes the area and he is very rude and occasionally abusive to holiday makers who question him ( he is cleaning until gone 11am and won’t allow people to use the sun beds near the area which is not great when you are all fighting for a space!) . There is also a sporadically enforced ‘no reservation rule’ . Sometimes they remove towels and sometimes they don’t. Bar staff speak very little English so it’s hard to communicate with drinks and payment but we have gotten by. Reception staff speak a little more. I think we are one of only 3 or 4 British guest groups here, other guests are either Spanish, German or polish. The room is spacious and looks newly decorated, maid comes to make the bed every day and have a sweep. Day 4 now and yet to change the sheets but I’m sure they would if you asked. Safe is 35 euros for the week. Pool towels are 10 euro deposit each. Balcony’s are quite open, you can see into next door and if you have a small child they could easily go through the gap and cross over to next doors balcony (just fyi). We probably wouldn’t stay again purely due to the pool area not allowing much fun, but the entertainment team try and entertain as much as possible with games etc, but the allowance of inflatables and ball games would really improve the experience. Just another note, the hotel is dog friendly so there are pets being walked around reception area and obviously in the rooms. We haven’t heard any barking but it is worth noting if you are a) allergic to dogs or b) scared of dogs"

""I wouldn't go here with children. For teenagers, it might be an okay hotel. The room is dirty and smells like smoke. The fridge is falling apart. Reception and housekeeping don't take things seriously. The gym's AC doesn't work. Breakfast was okay. Unfortunately, we still have to stay here for two more nights.""
