"We are now waiting to sadly go home. We did read reviews about the hotel being dated and is having a renavation soon, so we came with a open mind. Yes the hotel is worn, yes there is mosquito's, but the grounds are lovely, the staff are lovely, the food is very good with lots of choice. I would even come back here without it being renovated. "Visiting with a friend for a week - separate bookings. We are currently here now as I type.. I don’t want to go straight in with my disappointments, so to begin with I will thank you for the positivities. Prior to arriving I emailed 1 month in advance to advise of separate travel and asked for mine and my friends room to be next to each other. My request was accommodated and we have adjoining rooms, so thank you. Food so far has been very nice. It may not be to everyone’s taste which I understand. But it’s ample, hot and a good variety of choices. Many pools to choose from - never an issue getting a sunbed. Staff are very friendly, and whilst yes at times the language barrier makes things difficult, it’s very unfair on staff to comment badly when I am travelling to Spain and do not speak the language. My room is clean and spacious. Unfortunately my positives come to an end. In 2024 we stayed in the princess hotel next door and we had an amazing stay - rather than return to what we knew we booked this hotel instead having enjoyed being in Fuerteventura and the convenience of its location. We are regrettably not satisfied with our stay. Had we of known the extent of how rundown the hotel is and the matter of a huge renovation stating end of October for 18 months, we simply would not have booked. The hotel is extremely worn out and incredibly tired looking throughout. Our room - broken tiles, patio doors that do not fully close and therefore do not lock, broken furniture and holes and rips in material. Safe unfortunately not cooperating and stained bedding. Whilst not something I can knock the hotel for - the room has been full of mosquitos. I have travelled to the likes of Africa, South America and have never been bitten on my face. Even with my visit to next door I do not recall such persistent pests - but this year by day 3 I have had 8 bites on my face alone. You can see mosquitoes are an issue with squashed dead bodies splattered into the walls and even furniture (lampshades). We were fortunate we were given high rooms (level 3) so haven’t so far been affected, but we have seen our fair share of cockroaches across the complex. In and outside. We both feel that when booking our holiday it should have been apparent regarding such a big refurbishment as honestly we would not have booked. It feels as though the mentality is ‘It doesn’t matter - we won’t fix it because it’ll be closing soon’. We spent a lot of money to come here and were excited to arrive. Despite many bad comments on Trip Advisor, you do have to take them with a pinch of salt and there are many reviews with positive and happy experiences. It’s just a shame that our opinion on this hotel isn’t great and frankly has left us feeling gutted that we didn’t return to Princess Hotel. I hope that the refurbishment goes well and that the hotel is given the time, love and attention that it needs. However we would not return and will not be recommending. We fail to see / understand how this hotel has been granted 4* unfortunately. From a very let down and disappointed feeling visitor."

"I’m currently at Club Jandia Princess writing this review. Ok it’s dated but it’s clean; the staff are amazing and very helpful and friendly. The food is amazing. Please do not take any notice of the negative reviews."
