R2 Buganvilla Hotel & SPA

"Complaining at a high level. Wi-Fi in the room is very poor, otherwise acceptable. The hotel is not for young people. Few entertainment options in the evening at the hotel. The entertainment is, as in all hotels, a matter of taste. For us, it was not entertaining and absolutely abysmal. The food was good and flavorful. Selection was OK. All in all, it was a nice vacation. Sure, there are always opportunities for improvement. What must be particularly highlighted. The staff is really very friendly and up for a laugh."

"This hotel looked beaufiful from outside and the foyer and entertainment area was stunning on arrival. The room was immaculately clean, but needed a few finishing touches to reach 4 star. Reception staff were excellent, thank Katalina especially for being so helpful, apologies for no other names as there was no real interaction at the hotel. The cleaners were superb they work really hard and always very pleasant. Entertainment staff were fantastic as we listened each day on our terrace above pool I even had a dance up there loving the vibe. Well done excellente. The nightly performances were a bit hit and miss to be honest. A huge shout to Zuri Lesedi she was absolutely superb. The duo act with phenomenal guitarist, Soul group sorry didn't get their name and of course the Spanish flamenco dancers. Bar staff were quite stand offish and at times unpleasant to be honest and the drinks were poor quality to cap it all the air conditioning was non existent it was a chiller system which was very inefficient at 37 degrees most days and extremely humid evenings. The restaurant was more like a cafeteria and again hit and miss with the food. British people were not really catered for to be honest this is quite unwelcoming as the hotel know the nationalities of their guests The restaurant staff worked very hard and again no interaction at all, we were lucky if we had two smiles in whole time we were there which is sad as we usually love to chat and try and be respectful and respond in Spanish and always tip well. I truly believe this hotel could be a true 4 **** plus with a few little tweaks here and there as aesthetically it looks lovely the pool and bar facing the beach could be much more user friendly . In house training is very much needed. The last four days we decided at our own cost to move as were were eating out each day elsewhere, plus not able to cool down in the room after a day in the sun. Buganvilla could be so much better as it is well positioned not too far from the beach or shops and bars. Good luck with it all we wish you well."

"We have been coming to this beautifully located hotel for the fifth or sixth time as a couple, 64 and 74 years old. It is always nice to come here once a year and meet nice people. Unfortunately, I noticed that the hotel has lost the battle against the smokers. Everywhere in all rooms, pool, or terraces, except for the smoking terrace, it is actually not permitted to smoke. As a sick man with a lung disease, I have to let myself be smoked out from all sides, so that I can hardly use the balcony. That used to be different. When I tell people that, they say: Don't be such a baby. The hotel management doesn't say anything anyway. That is not nice. I am not alone in my opinion. A no-go for non-smokers and especially for children."
