Hotel Coral Beach by Llum

"Arrived at the hotel around midnight, after checking in, I tried to use the drinks vending machine but was informed it was out of order. Despite it being all lit up and no notice on it! So I asked if there was anywhere else in the hotel I could purchase/ get water ? was just told ‘ no’.so after midnight we walked up the road to a bar that was open and lively . For some reason we were given a disabled access room, which was fine, then upon showering in the ‘wet room’ we discovered it was very wet! The shower curtain didn’t go all around or reach the floor, so after every shower we had to cover the whole floor with towels to soak some water up to be able to get the sink and the toilet without slipping, fortunately the maid came everyday so always left her a pile of soaking wet towels, the ‘wet room ‘ did not have a single shelf to put toiletries on, so everything was piled on the sink and a little plastic Ikea type stool !! The room was on the second floor overlooking a busy junction, so didn’t use the balcony, not enough sockets so took it on turns to charge the phones , very dated and needs a refurbishment. Food ok if you like salads and chips, every conceivable salad mix you can think of, but a sorry choice of meat n veg, desserts all of the Crem variety , after the third day we ate out. The staff didn’t seem to be of any help whenever I had a query, like bus times,? answer ‘ the times are on the board at the bus stop in the centre of the resort, do you do money exchange ?Answer no , you may get it at a tobacco shop, ( we didn’t) is there a room / shower we could use on our departure day as we have a late flight? Answer no we don’t do that! on the plus side the maid came everyday beds comfy and clean, extra pillows , everywhere was clean, the AC worked fine, situated a short stroll to the beach, The fire alarm went off on two different nights one night it went off at least three times, every morning early there seemed to be a thunder of trolleys. Think we may have been near a store room or something . have been to this resort many many times, to many different hotels/apartments and it is my favourite resort to holiday But this would be my least choice of accommodation , will not return."

"The hotel is very outdated but clean. Don't stay in room 127 because it is terrible, we got another room after complaining. Thanks to receptionist Thelma (very friendly) The food in the hotel is okay, but it's very repetitive. The animation does its best. Es CANAR disappointed us, little to do, you can walk to the Hippie Market on Wednesday in Punta Arabí near the Fergus Hotel, on the weekend there is a hippie market in Las Dalias, for this you do need a car, a recommendation is Cala Nova beach within walking distance. If you Want to rent a car, first check the prices carefully, the rental agency next to the hotel is very expensive! And if you have a car, the next problem comes... there is almost no parking space to be found."

"We arrived and were told that the air conditioning hasn't been working for over 1 month, without them warning us, the restaurant wasn't good, the rooms smelled of humidity... we left and thanks to Booking who refunded us instantly and we found something better."
