"We have been here 6 or 7 times (loosing count now) and we are never disappointed. Here’s why:
Location: Santa Eulalia is a beautiful little town with a perfect beach and small but prestige marina. Everyone here is friendly and here to relax and enjoy a slow way of living. The bars and restaurants are all fabulous with something for everyone. Loads of lovely little boutiques for shopping too. The Meliá Ibiza is located at the Marina end and just a few minutes walk away. What is most fabulous is that when you’re at the hotel, there’s nothing overlooking you but endless views of the see and lush green trees and foliage. It really is a feast for the eyes.
Hotel facilities: ALL the rooms, from the most basic to very luxurious are fantastic, and the views from any of them are gorgeous. We have stayed in a Level Deluxe Junior Suite with Supreme Sea View, and a Basic room with a few others in between. The decor is gorgeous and the facilities fantastic in all of them. All three pool areas are stunning although my favourite is still the main pool. There are so many places to be you can always find peace and tranquility even when fully booked.
Services: You have everything you’d expect here. Poolside ordering for food and drinks via an app. A luxury Thai spa. Morning Yoga by the sea. And lots more. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room turnovers are pristine.
Food: Loads of choice at breakfast with gorgeous outside seating by the sea and plenty of space indoors too. Poolside menu is extremely limited though and food isn’t brilliant. We tend to go out to eat so not really an issue but for the price it’s not great. Drinks however are fabulous. Can highly recommend the frozen Daquiri. There are restaurants but we rarely eat here so can’t really comment on that.
The Level experience: we have paid for this premium experience several times. My honest and experienced opinion is that the hotel and facilities are SO good, that for the extra cost, it doesn’t add a great deal to your holiday.
What you do get is access to the rooftop bar and pool. It’s nice up there, but not so amazing that it feels super exclusive in anyway . The majority of sunloungers are too far away from the bar and pool so you totally lose the vibe. The restaurant tables have been moved to where the sunloungers used to be and I think that’s a mistake. The Bali beds are nice but you still have to pay extra for them. I think that once you pay for The Level you shouldn’t have to pay for anything else (including the mini bar in your room for example).
The private breakfast and snack/drinks area is lovely and the range of drinks and fresh fruit and snacks that you don’t need to pay for throughout the day is really good. Premium brand soft drinks and alcohol available all day with plenty of ice and garnishes etc available too. However the breakfast choice is much more limited than that in the main area which seems odd.
You get 10% off food, drink and the spa too which is helpful. My verdict on The Level is only to pay for it if you plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel. Otherwise I’m not sure it’s worth the money. You will certainly not miss out on facilities because the main pool, relaxation and dining areas are so lovely anyway.
A few final recommendations for the hotel. It’s probably time to replace the sunbed cushions. They’re getting grubby and many of them are very worn. It brings the overall superior feel of the hotel right down.
As I said earlier. Move the sunbeds back to closer to the pool on the Rooftop. Build shelter over the dining area as it’s very exposed to the sun and wind up there and totally puts us off trying it. Consider extra perks for The Level to make it feel more exclusive. Do you really need to charge for the mini bar for example? Could you put some sunbeds in the exclusive area?
Be relentless about treating guests equally. We came with friends who were celebrating their birthdays, one of the there 50th (and we emailed ahead to tell you) . They came here on our recommendation. You sent us a bottle of fizz to our room (as returning guests), but nothing to them. This might have been on oversight but it would have been nice for you to have made them feel special too.
Look at those food menus and quality, especially poolside. We would have eaten here much more during the day if better choice available.
Other than that, keep doing what you’re doing. We love it here. We have visited and looked at all the hotels that are in walking distance to the marina and town (including Riomar and Aquas) and none of them come close to Meliá Ibiza."
