"I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. It was very dirty and there were cockroaches everywhere — both in the rooms and in public areas, including the toilets by the pool. There was also a lot of black hair all over the room, which was absolutely disgusting and made it clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. The food was poor and definitely not what I expected. The staff working at the pool bar were another major disappointment. I have honestly never seen people who seemed to hate their jobs so much. The service was unfriendly and unpleasant. The location itself is actually quite good, but unfortunately that is probably the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. Overall, the hotel was extremely dirty, poorly maintained, and unpleasant. I would definitely not recommend staying here."

"Just got back from a week stay here. Family of 4, children aged 14 and 10. We stayed in a Junior comfort suite, the room was spacious, there was some minor wear and tear but nothing bad. We found the beds quite hard. The cleaners came in every day with new towels and made the beds, cleaning was abit hit and miss, we had one cleaner that did a really good job and another who did half a job! You get bottles of water on arrival. There is a small kitchen area with kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge and basic cutlery. Bathroom has a hairdryer. We mainly used the 'quite' pool however this is mainly because one of my daughters is autistic and it was a calmer area for her, we did visit the 'noisy' pool twice for some activities our daughters wanted to try. Noisy pool serves drinks, icecream and slushies and has a snack bar. It also has lots of activities happening throughout the day, quite pool has a drinks bar and icecream. Both pool bars have water stations where you can regill your water bottles. Both pools have plenty of sunloungers and we never struggled to find some even later on in the day. The pools are cold and salt water. However this didn't stop us enjoying them and the cold water is actually quite refreshing with the heat. No inflatables allowed, but swimming aids, balls and water shooters are. You can get a cooked breakfast the normal bacon, sausage, egg etc or there is cereal, fruit and pancakes. Breakfast is very repetitive. Lunch is also very repetitive although dinner changes up abit each evening with a different theme such as international, Mexican, carvery ect. Snackbar has burgers, hotdogs, toasties, chips, salad ect we did come across chicken nuggets once. There are also two other restaurants one just for adults and another one which I believe is a Chinese restaurant however we didn't visit these. Theres a small playground, minigolf, volleyball area, multisport areas, gym and massage place on site (extra charge for massage place) also arcades machines in snack bar and main bar. We aren't too bothered about sitting in a bar or watching entertainment and only visited one show (magic show) which was okay but cant really comment on other entertainment or the galleon bar. We enjoy going for a walk on a night and did notice there was plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. The views in the area at night are lovely especially at sunset if that's your thing. We visited teguise market, the open mall, rancho texas and the aquarium out the back of the hotel. The market is massive but very repetitive and the buses get very busy, we ended up having to get a taxi back to costa teguise which cost about £25. The children really enjoyed rancho texas and the aquarium however one of our daughters is animal mad! We also visited playa de las cucharus and playa de los charcos they are both 5 minutes away from the hotel, when we was there it was quite high tides throughout the day and the water gets deep quickly as it is on a slope, great for water sports but not for children who like to have a swim in the sea, for lower tides it was better to go early morning or late nighy. However playa del jablillo which is about a 20 minute walk away was much better for children and there is lots of different fish you can see swimming around you which out daughters enjoyed. There is a photographer on site who comes around the pools and outside the main restaurant. You can purchase the photos if you wish. All in all we have enjoyed our holiday and found the hotel and local area suitable for our needs however it may not be for people who prefer a more lively environment, I suppose it depends what you want out of your holiday."

"Typical all inclusive resort - not all bad but for us not all good either - but it is a matter of opinion so these are just what we felt during our time here. ROOMS: We had a junior suite which was fairly clean and perfectly sized for us (2 adults and a 12 year old) two single beds in the main bedroom and sofa bed in the living room. Towels changed daily and basic housekeeping done throughout. The rooms don’t get fully cleaned throughout every day, nor does the bedding get changed but I don’t think this is a thing generally. It’s kept on top of as would be expected. We have a fridge in our kitchenette which is spacious enough to hold milk and numerous bottles of water (not included). No tea/coffee provided so you’ll need to bring your own or top up from the tea station at breakfast. There’s also a small freezer compartment in the fridge (but no ice cube tray). Balconies are private and have washing line and plenty of chairs to use for drying washing/towels and swimwear of an evening. We were in room 2233 which over looks the quieter pool and we heard little noise apart from the odd bit coming from neighbouring rooms. We seemed to have quiet neighbours but if you’re unlucky and don’t, I think you’d hear everything - walls are quite thin! Shower always floods the bathroom floor no matter how careful you try to be! Towels are very small! …and you’ll need a couple just to dry the floor, so ask for extras! 🙈 Hairdryer in the bathroom but take your own as it’s wired in on a short cable!. Beds: we never normally struggle with sleeping on holiday but these beds are incredibly hard and the pillows are also uncomfortable. Which was hard work ☹️We asked for extra pillows from reception which they were happy to provide but were sadly just as uncomfortable. Aircon in both the bedroom and living room all controlled by the same dial, not separate. Safe has to be hired (not included which was a bit of a con we felt - again most 4 star resorts you get this as standard) 30€ for the week but you get 10€ back on return of the safe chip that activates the safe in the room. Bugs: Here for 7 nights and didn’t see 1 cockroach - if you do you’re probably just unlucky as the resort is pretty clean and well maintained!! Did have a returning baby gecko some nights on our balcony though which was cute 🥰 POOLS: Not heated and seem freezing at first but actually aren’t once you’re in. Main pool (out of reception and on the right) is ideal for families and those who love a livelier holiday experience with the animation team buzzing around. The quieter pool which is out of reception and round to the left is definitely calmer and better if you’re there to relax although it’s not strictly adults only or anything so you do still get children playing but don’t get the loud music and activities. There is also an area set aside for lane swimming which is quite a nice touch and they are strict on not letting kids play in that bit. Kids can play with balls and swim toys on both pools but I don’t think large inflatables are allowed. Babies in small inflatable floats are fine. Lifeguards at both pools and are on it - so peace of mind for all. Animation team seemed to enjoy what they do and the kids all looked like they were having the best time with them around the pool. The Thursday pool party is great fun for the little ones. SUNBEDS - the main topic of stress for most 😂 we came here end of August and it was still technically school holidays so the hotel was fairly busy (but not chaos). You do need to be early to get a sunbed in your chosen spot - want one by a parasol (all fixed and cannot be moved) …you probably need to be out there by 6am (when it’s busy). They are fairly few and far between, but there are tons of sunbeds so I don’t think you’d end up without one, it would just be a case of not being able to put one where you want - but there is a lot of space around both pools to move them about. I don’t think you’re meant to reserve sunbeds but everyone does so you have to join in I’m afraid! Pool bars were good - by the lively pool it’s large and has seating area inside for eating snacks (main snacks only served at this bar) and taking some shade, and also a small games area including a couple of pool tables (2€ per go). There is also a little book swap shelf (currently by the TV) which I used and found a good selection of English books to read. By the quiet pool there is a pool bar (which is more like a shack) and offers drinks and ice creams. Staff are friendly and there is a lot of choice for drinks. Cocktails, mocktails, spirits (not branded), beer, sangria, slushies and also water points are also dotted around so you can fill up bottles at your leisure. The only drinks you can help yourself to are: water, fruit juices & hot drinks. Everything else is served behind the bar (including coke, lemonade etc - which is a bit annoying as would keep the queues down a bit during busier times, if this was self service as a majority of people queuing for those are kids!) RESTAURANTS: The main restaurant is large and air conditioned and there is an area where you sit inside but outside (you’ll see what I mean when you’re there)! Self service drinks: Coke, lemonade etc, water and fruit juices, hot drinks, wine and sangria. Always a large selection (albeit always random) of things to eat. Never had to queue for a table but the queues for food can build up if you get a slow person or kids at the front of the queue! Breakfast (generally the same each day): cereals, toast, breads, pastries (mixed each day), meats, full English, pancakes, churros, porridge, fruit, yoghurts Lunch: breads, different variations of salads, cheeses, chips, always a form of paella or hot pasta dish, hot meat of some description, hot veg, generally pizza is served too - all edible but as we say, always a bit random in terms of variations of what you can make a meal out of. Always a nice selection of desserts / cakes and always ice cream (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and coconut). Dinner is similar to lunch with different hot, salad and dessert options. CHINESE If you get fed up of the usual stuff like we did, we discovered that there is a Chinese buffet within the hotel too which you can have every night if you wanted to! This is not the à la carte restaurant! Head out of the main reception into the street and turn left - follow it past the shops and you’ll see a large white tent type building which is the Galleon Bar - this is part of the hotel and also serves drinks and has entertainment in the evenings. In here is where the Chinese is (and the Italian à la carte restaurant (which you do have to book - 1 visit per stay is allowed)). The food was really good nice selection of dishes and a quieter experience too - made a lovely change. We didn’t try the Italian. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT: We went once and it left a lot to be desired! 🙈 kids disco again looked like great fun for the little ones and that’s kind of where it ended. FACILITIES: 2 x games rooms Plenty of pool tables 2€ per go Ping pong table by quiet pool bar Volleyball Tennis courts Crazy golf Darts Football Kids play park - cute and saw lots of families using it Gym (not used but looks smart) Launderette (5€ to wash and 5€ to dry) - no detergent needed as it’s automatic Luggage room for late checkouts LOCATION 20 min taxi ride from airport (circa 30€) Bus stop at the front of the hotel Supermarket out of the main reception and on the left Aquarium behind the hotel (out of reception and follow it round to the right) Shops, bars and restaurants further up past the aquarium and also a mini golf place. Shops, bars and restaurants straight across from hotel - go through just past Santander and you come out into a little area where there are those bungee trampolines for kids - that’s where there is also a great all you can eat Chinese called Beijing) family of 3 plus drinks was 65€ and food was cooked fresh on order. Beach is just beyond that so less than a 10 min walk from the hotel and all along there are little bars, shops and restaurants. Having stayed at numerous 4 star resorts we felt that this lacked in some areas and would in our opinion be more of a 3 star/ 3 star plus. Can’t really put our finger on one thing but overall it didn’t quite meet our expectations - but it also wasn’t horrendous. Shockingly on check out not one member of staff asked us if we’d had a nice stay! So not at all 4* customer service."
