"Lovely complex, great location – but one issue with the pool The complex itself was lovely. Rooms are a good size with everything you need. The staff at reception and the cleaning staff were absolutely amazing — friendly, helpful and always welcoming. As the other reviews mention, the whole place is very clean and extremely well kept. The location was perfect for us. It’s quiet and peaceful, which we really enjoyed. There’s a lovely square directly opposite with some great restaurants, but most places are finished by around 11–11:30pm, so if you’re looking for nightlife and somewhere that stays lively late into the night, this probably isn’t the place for you. We hired a car, so whenever we wanted a bit more hustle and bustle, we could drive into Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas. However, we actually much preferred coming back to the quiet, chilled atmosphere here. There’s also a lovely coastal boardwalk leading to the next little town. It’s about a 15-minute walk and definitely worth doing. This is where you’ll see more of the locals — eating, sunbathing and even jumping off the pier. There are some beautiful seafood restaurants along the way, so I’d highly recommend taking the walk down and having a look. The only real thing that lets the complex down for us is the pool. It’s quite small and not particularly deep. Unfortunately, our experience with one of the lifeguards also wasn’t great. He came across as quite rude and seemed to spend a lot of time telling children off and approaching parents publicly when kids jumped into the pool. I completely understand that lifeguards have a job to do and safety rules need to be followed — I would be the first person to support that if children were being dangerous, disruptive or disrespectful. However, the way this particular lifeguard dealt with things felt unnecessarily confrontational and took away from the relaxed atmosphere around the pool. Interestingly, the other two lifeguards who covered his days off were completely different. They were friendly, engaging with customers and created a much nicer atmosphere around the pool. Our kids actually said the best four days of the holiday were the days “Grumpy” was off! 😂 Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay. The complex is beautiful, clean and well maintained, the location is fantastic if you prefer somewhere peaceful, and the staff (apart from our experience with the one lifeguard) were excellent. We would definitely consider coming back — just hoping “Grumpy” is on holidays! 😂"

"Just had a lovely 2 week holiday at Sunset View Club. The resort is well maintained and clean. A really nice place to relax and enjoy the Tenerife weather. Situated in the quieter part of Tenerife it doesn't have any beaches nearby although the natural rock pools at Los Abrigos, a 20 minute walk away are great fun. The pool area is quite small and so not enough sun loungers for everyone. Some sun loungers do not have parasols either which isn't great. Talking to other guests, everyone agreed that a bit of music by the pool area was needed. The onsite restaurant/ Tapas bar was handy for drinks but the menu was a bit confusing as not really snack food that you usually get by a pool. The staff were so nice and it would be a shame to see it close due to lack of business as it never seemed very busy. We had a 1 bedroom apartment for 2 adults and 1 teenager. The room was lovely and well equipped with full oven, hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and even washing machine. A full length wardrobe would be nice though. Bed linen and towels changed frequently during our stay and apartment cleaned. Would be nice to have a couple of English tv channels as could not always screen mirror from my phone due to Internet problem. These are just minor issues as overall Sunset View is a lovely place to stay and conveniently situated across from San Blas square which has lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We will definitely be back."

"Just had a very relaxing week here. Apartment was spotless and had everything including a dishwasher and washing machine 👌 maid came twice during our stay and left washing and dishwasher tablets every time. Pool area is a good size my daughter was disappointed though that no pool floats were allowed or ball games but it is what it is. The area has quite a few really nice restaurants just across the road. The taxi ride was under 20 euros from the airport. Overall a very nice stay here for us as a family would definitely come back again."
