"We stayed at Regnum The Crown last year and were satisfied, so we decided to return again. Moreover, we recommended this hotel to our friends, and this year two more families came with us.
Unfortunately, the vacation in October 2026 turned out to be a huge disappointment. The quality of service has deteriorated so much that none of the three families want to return to this hotel anymore.
We booked the vacation back in November 2025, when no one warned us about the significant changes in concept and reduction of services.
1. Cancellation of CIP and personal assistants
One of the first unpleasant surprises was the cancellation of the CIP service at the airport, which was previously provided to hotel guests.
Now you have to pay an additional 450 euros for this service!
No one warned us about these changes when booking. We were counting on a certain level of service that we received before.
The personal assistant service was also canceled, which significantly worsened the comfort of the stay.
The cost of vacation has increased, while the number of services provided and the quality of service have noticeably decreased.
2. Terrible organization of restaurant work and service
Booking restaurants has become a real problem. Almost every day I had to find out for myself which restaurants were open, what time they were open, and if it was possible to get in for dinner.
Service in bars has become significantly slower. The quality of the food has also noticeably worsened compared to last year.
I would like to specifically note the absence of some premium alcoholic beverages, in particular XO cognac.
For a hotel positioning itself as luxury, this is another indicator of a decline in the level of services provided.
Room cleaning also leaves much to be desired.
3. A dirty rag in my little child's porridge!
This is probably the most shocking case of our entire vacation.
A dirty rag was in my two-year-old's porridge!
The worst thing I noticed was the moment my child took the rag out of the porridge and started licking it.
Naturally, my first reaction was to immediately take the dirty rag from the child, not to take out my phone and photograph what was happening.
In fright and indignation, I threw the rag in the bathroom. Only after that, coming a little to my senses, I took a picture.
Therefore, unfortunately, I do not have a photo of how the rag was originally in the children's porridge. The photograph was taken after the incident.
I consider it completely unacceptable for such situations to happen in a five-star hotel that positions itself as premium.
It's not just about bad service, it's about the safety and health of a small child!
I don't even want to imagine where this rag was before, what it was used for, and what bacteria might have been on it.
This is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this level!
4. Lack of information about children's and adult events
We came to relax with a small child and were counting on high-quality organization of a family vacation.
However, they only sent us the children's program on the first day.
In all subsequent days, I had to ask myself what events were planned for children, what entertainment was provided for adults, and where they were held.
Every day I had to find out information about the restaurants' operations.
Do guests at a hotel of this level really have to constantly search for this information themselves?
5. Fire alarm during children's sleep - the second year in a row!
The situation with the fire alarm deserves special attention.
For the second year in a row, during our vacation, the hotel activates the fire alarm when the children are sleeping—sometimes during the day, sometimes at night!
The situation repeated this year.
The alarm started working, the children woke up, the guests got scared and started leaving their rooms.
However, we received the fire alarm testing notification after everything had already started!
Can't you warn guests in advance about such events?
Especially when a large number of families with small children are staying at the hotel.
We filmed what happened.
I consider such an attitude towards the tranquility and comfort of guests absolutely unacceptable.
6. Our friends paid 1,850,000 rubles for a vacation—and their child had a real scare!
We didn't come to Regnum The Crown alone. After our positive experience last year, we recommended this hotel to two more families of our friends.
One family flew in from Russia and paid 1,850,000 rubles for a vacation for four—two adults and two children aged 14 and 11!
For that money, people expected to receive a truly luxurious vacation, a high level of service, and maximum comfort.
However, they faced almost all the same problems as us: cancellation of CIP, deterioration of nutrition and service, lack of normal information about events, difficulties with restaurant reservations.
But the most outrageous situation occurred when the fire alarm went off.
Their 11-year-old child got so scared of the alarm that he ran out of the room in a panic without a key card!
The elevators weren't working, the child didn't understand where to go or how to get back to his parents.
He was very scared and called his mom in a panic, not knowing what to do.
Imagine the state of parents when their child is alone in such a situation!
And all this was happening in a hotel that positions itself as one of the best premium resorts in Turkey.
Why were the guests not warned in advance about the fire alarm check? Why should children and parents experience such stress during a vacation for which a large amount of money has been paid?
Our friends were also forced to find out daily which restaurants are open, how to book them, and what events are held for children and adults.
I constantly had to request the children's and adult programs myself.
And the most hurtful thing is that we recommended this hotel to them, based on our good impression from last year.
In the end, instead of thanks for the recommendation, we all received huge disappointment.
7. Managers' complete indifference to guests' complaints
We addressed three different managers with complaints about what was happening.
Each of them promised to look into it, asked for a little time, and assured that the situation would be considered.
However, no one contacted us for almost three days!
No solution, no explanations, and not even elementary apologies.
It gives the impression that the management is completely uninterested in its guests and their vacation experiences.
It is especially unpleasant to have such an attitude towards families who have stayed at the hotel before and decided to return.
8. Comparison with other premium hotels in Turkey
We really have something to compare with.
We rested in Cullinan, Ethno and Maxx Royal Kemer.
I especially want to mention Maxx Royal Kemer, where we received a completely different level of service.
The service there is excellently organized, the food is wonderful, the attention to children is attentive, the children's club is magnificent, and the pools and children's water park with warm water are great.
The staff really cares about the guests, and doesn't make them constantly ask for favors and complaints.
After such a vacation, it is especially noticeable how much Regnum The Crown falls short of other hotels in the same price category.
9. We paid more, but got significantly less!
The most unpleasant thing is that the cost of vacation at Regnum The Crown remains very high.
We chose a premium hotel expecting a corresponding level of service, comfort, and safety.
Instead, we got constant problems, the need to independently solve organizational issues, deterioration of food quality, lack of previous services, and completely unacceptable situations regarding children's safety.
We have saved photos and video recordings of many situations that have occurred.
We will definitely share our experience on various travel platforms so that other families know what they can expect when choosing this hotel.
Result
We arrived at Regnum The Crown with high expectations because we liked the vacation last year.
Moreover, we brought two more families of friends with us, one of which paid almost two million rubles for the vacation.
Instead of a luxurious vacation, all three families received disappointment, constant service problems, and unpleasant situations related to child safety.
What is particularly outrageous is not only the deterioration of the service but also the lack of proper reaction from the management to serious guest complaints.
After the break in 2026, neither our family nor our friends' families want to return to Regnum The Crown.
Unfortunately, the hotel that used to leave pleasant impressions now completely fails to justify either its cost or the declared level of luxury.
Regnum The Crown no longer meets the premium level that guests pay so much money for.
We are sincerely disappointed and no longer recommend this hotel to families who are looking for a truly high-quality, safe, and comfortable vacation."
