"We expected much more from this hotel and unfortunately left disappointed. With the hotel being far from fully occupied, it would have been nice not to receive one of the worst rooms. One of the rooms we were given never got any sunlight at all — our swimsuits would not dry even after a full day, and the room always felt cold and damp. We even had to use the air conditioning in heating mode just to make it comfortable, but it did not help much because the air conditioners had temperature limiters.
When we asked to change the room, we were offered another similar room in the shade with no sunlight, or a higher-category room for an additional charge. We really did not need an upgraded room, but with the hotel being less than 50% occupied, it should not have been so difficult to provide a room that gets at least some sunlight during the day.
Housekeeping was also inconsistent. The room itself was cleaned, but some cabinets and surfaces were cleaned while others were not. In some places, drink stains remained on the cabinets throughout our stay. Bathroom amenities were not always fully replenished either. Dirty glasses were never removed from the room — after a few days, we simply placed them in the corridor ourselves.
The most unpleasant part was that I would almost every day find my nightgowns simply thrown onto the bedside cabinet instead of being folded or neatly placed, even though I always left them neatly folded under the pillow. They were often just tossed on top of the telephone, which felt careless and disrespectful.
Unfortunately, most of the hot dishes in the main restaurant were rather tasteless, especially the grilled items, and the overall selection was quite limited. At the beach restaurant, we usually ate the beef steaks. Most of the time they were tasty, although on some occasions they were overcooked and rubbery. We actually preferred having dinner there whenever possible, while visiting the main restaurant mostly for desserts and fruit.
The à la carte restaurant was a surprise, as we had not realized it required an additional charge, and in our opinion the price was quite high. However, the service there was excellent and the food quality was very good overall. The only disappointment was the lamb steak, which was dry and difficult to chew.
During the daytime, there was practically no entertainment or animation apart from the darts game. Either we simply could not find where activities were taking place, or there really was very little happening, but we could not find any information about activities anywhere in the hotel. The animation team also only informed guests about the darts game. Live music was not available every evening either.
Throughout our stay, we kept hearing that the hotel was not yet operating at full capacity and that it was still considered off-season. However, we still paid the full price, which made the situation even more disappointing. If the hotel facilities and services are not fully operating yet, this should be reflected in the price as well. For example, the bar near the water slides never opened during our entire stay. The cocktails were very basic, more comparable to lower-category hotels. Even for coffee, you often had to specifically ask for freshly made coffee, otherwise staff would usually just pour regular coffee from the automatic machines instead.
Of course, there were also positive aspects. The hotel grounds are beautiful, the selection of quality ice cream was excellent, and we were especially happy that non-alcoholic beer was available. Some of the waiters (unfortunately we did not remember their names) were exceptionally cheerful, helpful, and friendly. They were honestly the ones who helped maintain the good mood of our group throughout the stay.
What disappointed us the most was the attitude we experienced: “We have our regular guests who are happy with everything, and if something does not suit you, there is nothing we can do.” After hearing this, we understood that we definitely would not return or recommend this hotel to others. Loyal guests should never be taken for granted, especially when feedback is being ignored."
