We ABSOLUTELY recommend Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna; I have done all the research and it has passed my needs and requirements with flying colours, especially so after our recent stay. I am very demanding in my research and very beady eyed during any subsequent stay; I will only choose as close to the very best I possibly can.
Now for the more detailed version:
We, my wife and I, stayed at Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna for three nights: Sunday 24th May to Wednesday 27th May 2026.
We stayed on the newly refurbished 4th floor: room 405. This was our first trip Vienna – it was to celebrate my wife’s Birthday – and this was our first stay at Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna.
As ever, I did a MOUNTAIN of research (seriously) before finally deciding on Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna.
The reviews of Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna were, across platforms, consistently the same: great location, fabulous breakfasts, and amazingly attentive staff. During our stay, I can now, not only confirm all such reviews to be fully accurate but will also add that the hotel and staff actually exceeded our expectations: this is a superb hotel getting everything right on so, so many levels.
Such a high and consistent performance, I have found (having travelled extensively over the years) is never, ever ‘by chance’, no; Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna is patently an extremely cherished hotel; cherished both by the owners and the staff alike who in turn cherish the guests; this a body and soul hotel living and breathing the very essence of warm, genuine, caring hospitality and – as you might expect in Vienna, birth place of such hugely talented and industrious creative types – there is a deep sense that, like so many of those famous people born in Vienna many whom were driven to perfection and noting always ‘not a minute is to be wasted’ (Mozart?) – so too, it is, that Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna is driven to excel in in all it does; yes, maybe hyperbole BUT that is how our stay at Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna whilst also immersing ourselves in Vienna has left us both feeling.
This hotel is extremely well maintained, the cleaning staff do the most amazing work, and our bathroom was like new every day! Whoever did the recent renovations to the hotel, especially the fourth floor where we stayed were outstanding contractors in every trade (I spent many years in construction so have an eye for that which is especially good work by talented, focused tradesmen and tradeswomen) the whole building is just sumptuous!
The breakfast! The Breakfast! The Breakfast! – so good I’ve said it three times. My gosh!! I can still see and taste the layout of foods and choices on offer at Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna – you will not, WILL NOT be disappointed with the breakfast there: yum, yum, yum AND yum again. Superb!
A few staff to shout out, below (any names I have omitted from the list below, please forgive me; every one of you were truly outstanding in your manner of making us feel happy and deeply fulfilled whenever we interacted with you, during our stay at Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna).
So:
Communication with Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna - (we booked directly with hotel) was faultless; Anastasia (reception) was prompt to reply and ensured all our queries were answered and actioned; Anastasia was also lovely in person too!! Thanks, Anastasia, for your warm welcome throughout our stay and your professional, focused communications with us.
To and from Airport to Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna - we booked airport transfers through reception (they book the taxi; you pay the driver direct) our driver - Ehab Soliman - connected with us as arranged at the airport on arrival and transferred us smoothly and safely to Hotel KAISERHOF Vienna. Ehab also drove us back to the airport at the appointed time: Thank you Ehab!! You are such a safe and courteous driver and a real gentleman as well!
Robert assistant at reception - thanks to Robert for your welcome also, and for checking so very promptly a query we had re a flickering light in our room which was resolved once we identified the origin.
‘Mili’ Front of House Manager - thank you ‘Mili’ for organizing the tickets for our ‘big wheel’ experience which we so enjoyed and also an especial thank you for the gorgeous birthday cake you placed in our room on learning it was my wife’s birthday!! Delicious! Not just so very attentive but also so especially, genuinely kind.
Anastasia ‘L’ Breakfast waitress - thanks to Anastasia ‘L’ for your wonderful smile and warm, attentive greeting and care you extended to us both each morning in the breakfast area – we hope your studies are going well and all tests have the results that please and encourage you.
Botond Breakfast waiter - Botond thank you also for the warm, professional and attentive greeting and care given you gave to us both each morning in the breakfast area – I shall ensure that marvelous (Hungarian) name of yours (should we meet again) will always be correctly pronounced; the ‘d’ accentuated BUT not too much! 😊
Barbara lounge Bar server and hostess - thank you Barbara for your special way of making us feel so at home and especially for the delicious herbal teas you made for us at the end of a very full and exhausting day, on our last evening; we slept soundly and woke much refreshed!
