Imperial Vienna

"Checked in at 3pm for a week long stay and checked out four hours later due to no hot water in our suite. This may have been luxurious in the 1980’s, but it’s FAR from it today….tired, deferred maintenance, and did I mention NO HOT WATER? Arrival began with the doormen dropping both our bags onto the street (with no apologies). Nothing worse than traveling 15 hours to have no hot water in your $800 per night hotel. As a decades long Marriott Bonvoy member, I’ve visited Courtyard by Marriotts that were cleaner, better maintained and had HOT WATER. My wife and I visit Europe every spring and enjoy great hotels…Le Meurice in Paris, Claridges in London, the Balmoral in Edinburgh, the St Regis in Rome, etc. The Imperial is in nowhere near the same level, not even close. Go elsewhere like we did…after only four hours."

"This was our first stay at the Imperial and it certainly makes you go "oh wow" when you arrive in the lobby. The staff are so nice and do anticipate your needs a lot of the time and go the extra mile to smile and make your stay personal, special and a happy experience. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and we had not mentioned it but when we returned from a concert there was a vase of red roses, a Tort with fresh fruit and a bottle of champagne in the room, how lovely is that. We will need to return to Vienna as we did not allow enough time to visit all the places, venues and pastry shops we would have liked. We look forward to our next stay at the Hotel Imperial."

"Choose this hotel in Vienna! Centrally located within easy walking to Old Town, the rooms are beautifully appointed and impeccably kept; housekeeping superb. Book the Sisi Suite-you are transported to an Old World, gracious setting in this spacious, two-room gorgeous suite. That being said, what sets this hotel apart is the caring and thoughtful staff-attentive Attila, Felix, and Raphael at the front desk thoughtfully made suggestions, booked restaurants and touring choices. In fact, when I had emailed concierge Felix in advance of our arrival asking for suggestions, he promptly replied with a comprehensive list of suggested restaurants (all excellent choices), theater options, activities so that we were well-prepared before arrival. The caring extends to the always good-humored and efficient doormen, the polite Imperial Bar and Imperial Café staff. Don't miss breakfast-an endless array of fresh, locally sourced selections-truly a dream along with the creative coffee selections. We loved dinner in the café as well-excellent suggestions and service."
