Marriott Hotel Vienna

"My friend & I checked in to the Marriott, Vienna after our flights back to the UK were cancelled. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming, in particular Judith who provided us with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and went above and beyond to find us a room that had two kingsize beds at such short notice. This was our first time in Vienna and having travelled from Budapest in the morning, following a fairly heavy night after the Champions League Final, we were glad that our flights were cancelled at such short notice. It allowed us to explore a beautiful city in the afternoon and enjoy the recommendations provided by one of Judith’s colleagues (sorry we can’t remember her name). The location of the hotel is very central and is in the perfect spot to walk to most places. The rooms were incredibly clean, the beds were very comfy & the bathroom was great with all the usual complimentary shower gels etc. Although we booked a room at such short notice, we found are stay incredibly good value for money. One regret that we do have is that we couldn’t stay longer and utilise everything the hotel has to offer! I will definitely consider booking with the Marriott in future! "My room had bugs in it and I believe they may have been bedbugs. When I showed the management pictures of the bedding which are consistent with bedbugs, they did change my room and the bites stopped upon changing to the new room. I had sent a few pieces of laundry down that were on the bed or on the floor and they charged me over $100 to clean them. I questioned this and they refused to pay for it. Whether or not there were bedbugs they should have paid for it. As a titanium elite member I expect better."
