"I have stayed at The Hoxton in Amsterdam, Rome and now Vienna. I must say that I’m not satisfied with the service in Vienna. Both in terms of the reception, restaurant and rooftop bar. Examples: The pouched egg on their signature avocado sandwich was completely raw inside. The scrambled egg was suspiciously close to the bad powder mix you get in cheap hotels, the pool bar was not open until after 15:00, so no service at the pool. Later when our group wanted to meet for drinks in the bar the friendliness and flexibility was missing to help us sit together, despite large free area on one of the terraces. The draft beer tap was not working. One day the pool area was closed off already at 14:00 due to an exclusive pool party. We specifically chose this hotel due to the rooftop pool. No compensation was offered until we told them other had been compensated and we were compensated with less than others. One in the group found makeup trash in the toilet bin from previous guests. All in all it seemed as staff was inexperienced and not trained well. Rooms are nice and location is perfect."

"I’ve wanted to stay in a Hoxton for a long time, they always look great in the pics! There was no obvious entrance, the doors look like fire doors! The reception area was very cool - the decor throughout the whole hotel was incredible. The receptionists throughout my stay were all friendly and helpful, I checked in to a snug room early as I arrived in Vienna very early. The room was not as snug as I thought and perfect for solo traveller. The radio was playing, there was tea, coffee, water and milk in the fridge. The view from the 7th floor was good. The bathroom was small but fine for me, there were 2 shower heads big and small - the small one kept falling off wall so I logged upon leaving. My fridge wasn’t replenished so I what’s app the number given and someone from housekeeping came within 10 minutes. The roof top bar! I wanted to sit up there and enjoy a coffee in the day but unfortunately there is no service til 4 or snacks til 5 which was disappointing. The roof top pool area was one of the reasons I booked the Hoxton to relax whilst siteseeing. When I did go up later to watch sunset, I felt pressured to buy a drink because there were staff everywhere (not doing much as it wasn’t busy!) I just wanted to read/relax. The breakfast! It was included in my rate and the service was great very friendly and very quick. The food though was poor my poached eggs were not great and my waffle cold. If I had known about the 5 euro breakfast bag I would have done that or just gone out as there are so many cafes! Overall I enjoyed my stay but I think it was overpriced. The vibe and decor was lovely but I would probably choose somewhere else if I returned."
