Hotel Sumratin

"We recently stayed at this beautiful new hotel and were impressed by many aspects of our experience. The rooms are stylishly designed and equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Thoughtful touches, such as the evening gifts and daily replenished bottled water, were much appreciated. The pool area is fantastic, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. Service could be a little slow at times, which is understandable given that many team members appeared to be relatively new to their roles. Occasionally, a little more initiative and flexibility would have enhanced the guest experience. The hotel’s main area for improvement is the dining experience. Breakfast offered an excellent variety of choices and was beautifully presented. However, unless you ordered freshly cooked eggs or an omelette, much of the hot food was unfortunately only lukewarm or cold. We had noticed previous reviews mentioning this issue and had hoped it would have been resolved by the time of our visit. As half-board guests, we were somewhat disappointed by the evening meal arrangements. The menu was limited to only two choices per course, and the process of having the à la carte menu removed before waiting for a separate half-board menu left us feeling somewhat less valued than other diners. That said, the food itself was enjoyable when it arrived. My husband is quite a fussy eater, so the limited selection made dining choices more challenging for him. There were also a couple of occasions where we felt inconvenienced. One afternoon, guests were asked to leave the pool area early due to a corporate event. On the same evening, half-board guests were unable to dine in the main restaurant. Similarly, during wet weather, we were directed to eat in the breakfast room rather than the main dining area. While we understand operational requirements, these situations contributed to a feeling that half-board guests were being treated differently. We feel the hotel could improve the overall guest experience by either offering half-board guests the option to pay a supplement and order from the full à la carte menu or by ensuring a more generous dining allowance is agreed with travel providers. Overall, this is a fabulous hotel with beautiful facilities, excellent potential, and many positive qualities. If the dining experience and food temperature issues were addressed, it would be exceptional. Despite these shortcomings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return."

"Me and my sister stayed here for a sun holiday. The hotel is gorgeous. The decor is lovely and everywhere is very clean. Our room was lovely and you get a dressing gown and slippers with your stay! Housekeeping replenish your towels every day and they also leave snacks during turndown service which was a nice touch. The rooftop bar and pool were fantastic. Plenty of beds and the views are stunning. The location is also great- only a 5 min walk from the beach and there’s plenty of restaurants around. We paid for bed and breakfast and there was lots of choice every day. The only downside was one day we had to leave the pool early for an event and it says the dining club is open for guests in the evening but the one night we wanted to use it, it was closed."

"Outstanding! Buffet breakfast one of the best ever suiting all needs ! From every king of cereals, breads , fruit , cooked products : all kinds - eg crispy prawns, omelettes all kinds to order , one of the biggest array anywhere! Continental - 5/7 meats berries jams cheeses anchovies a superb array Rooftop pool warm bar showers , excellent rooms with all facilities eg coffee maker hairdryer : tele only had news programs in English but wide choice Beds huge comfortable: staff all v pleasant ! One of the best ever hotels I have stayed at with plenty attractions nearby"
