Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

"Our last night in this amazing hotel and fabulous Rovinj. The location is first class. We normally like to eat out but opted for half board and not disappointed with the food. Lots of choice and healthy options, fresh salads, fish, meats and pasta and not the same food each night. The old town is magical and a 25 minute walk in. We hired bikes from the hotel which we would definitely recommend and cycled into the National Park next door to the hotel. The staff are all lovely and welcoming and the hotel is exceptionally clean. If you are thinking about booking this hotel you will not be disappointed. We are definitely returning to this hotel and it is rare we say this about hotels we have been to before. Thank you to all the team at the hotel Eden and we will be back!"

"While the hotel was lovely and in a great location the food was terrible . Whilst there seemed to be a good selection, all of the cooked food was stone cold. You could actually put your hand on the hot plate and feel nothing. We raised it with a member of staff who said it's always like this so although we had booked half board we gave up after two days and chose to eat out. Apart from not being nice to eat I'm sure you are all aware of the risk of buffet food not being served at the correct temperature. Whilst in rovinj we spoke to other people staying at the other maistra hotels and they said their hotels were the same. On arrival we asked at reception about booking trips and they said we could not book trips through them so we had to book these ourselves on the web . For two days the tea and coffee were not replenished in our room we asked at reception , we were given a couple of tea bags but was told they had no coffee but if we asked at the bar they would make us a coffee , we did then go to ask at the bar where there was a small queue , the man behind the bar just stood on his phone while the girl was serving. When we got served we told her about the coffee like the reception told us to and she said it was nothing to do with her and that she couldn't serve us a coffee only alcohol even though she was stood right to a massive coffee machine. Overall I felt the staff at the hotel were very poor and unhelpful , and the food awful. I wouldn't stay at a maistra hotel again tbh. Saying all that we did have a good holiday , the area is beautiful with loads of places to eat and drink , the pool and beach at the hotel are lovely. Just a shame it's let down by the basics"

"Amazing stay at Eden Hotel. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. There is a spacious outdoor pool area and a picturesque pebbled beach. The pebbled beach is situated on the coastal path which goes into Rovinj, offering a beautiful walk along the coastline. Rovinj itself is stunning. In the other direction, there is a stunning pine forest walk which also runs alongside the coastline. Perfect for cycling. The hotel spa is impressive, it includes a large sauna, indoor pool, relaxation room and outdoor sunbathing area. The gym is adequately equipped and meet our needs, there is also a Pilates studio which has some equipment. The restaurant (and Head Chefs) couldnt do enough for us and went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary requirements. The food was excellent, even for vegetarians. The restaurant does get busy so be prepared to que for hot food at dinner. The room was very small and the seats on the balcony werent very comfy but it was not a problem as the hotel has lots of seating areas scattered around the hotel. Overall, we cannot fault our stay at Eden Hotel and hope to return."
